The New Era of the SBSL

Ok, This is the new league structure that I'm considering. Let me know what you think. If I get some positive feedback early today, I might be able to get everything set up today. Once the league is realigned, then I can move on to the next step of the New Era of the SBSL...

    Classic League
    Cobb Division
    Maine
    Anaheim
    Boston Red Sox
    Los Angeles
    Springfield

    Musial Division
    Kansas City
    St. Louis
    Chicago
    Montreal
    Minnesota

    Gehrig Division
    Durham
    Detroit
    Philadelphia
    Brooklyn

    Modern League
    Clemens Division
    Australia
    Valhalla
    Beijing
    Alaska
    Limerick

    Ripken Division
    Flushing
    Savannah
    Koushien
    Vancouver
    Tokyo
    Las Vegas

    Gywnn Division
    Vice City
    Boston Tea Party
    Hyrule
    Cancun
    Shaolin

6 of the 8 playoff teams in the same league, eh? interesting. 2 of the top 4 teams in the same division as my team. time to tank it I suppose lol.

So you think the Classic league is more stacked than the Modern league. I actually decided to move Maine to the Classic League, because I thought the Modern league was getting too stacked.

not necessarily, at first glance it appears (for the most part and in a general sense) the top and bottom teams were put in the Classic with the middle teams in the modern...obviously, that's not 100% accurate as there are a couple that don't fall into that generalization. I'll be shocked if 4 of those 6 teams in Classic don't make the playoffs next season though.

I think it looks good to me. as long as one certain division isn't too stacked, which i don't see, it should be fine. i don't have a problem with one league being a little more stacked than the other. the playoffs is pretty much random anyways. it's just that if a division is too stacked, it's bad for obvious reasons.

looks really good to me crazy. i like it

My only suggestion is fix the Clemens division. It has three 90 plus win teams (Australia, Beijing, Limerick) and one team that's a season removed from 3 92 plus win seasons (Valhalla). You should probably move Beijing or Limerick to another division, cause it'll just be ridiculously stacked like the NL West and AL East was previously.

My original structure had Limerick and Las Vegas flipped. I could flip those two teams again.

That helps. Koushien is ok, Vancouver is terrible, and Tokyo puts up a good fight. It'll still have three 90 win teams but it won't be suffocating.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't understand the need for realignment.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

i don't think there's a need for it, it just provides a change of pace and some new teams to go head to head against. i think it's fun

Not for me...I mean, we've been in the alignment we're in now for what, 5 seasons? We need to realign after 5 seasons?

If it wasn't that this sim was started on a fantasy draft, I'd agree, but since it did, it needs better structure.

6.5! 6.5! 6.0 is dreadful; my top 5 players under 30 went down in talent this season.
