To me, this trade is like playing the lottery. You have a half million dollars, and you decide to blow it all on lottery tickets for a chance to win a million dollars.

Yeah, there is a chance those spects could be very good players eventually. The odds of it aren't very good, and Braun is a sure thing that is still very young and very cheap.

how are the odds of it not very good? to me the odds on those specs are pretty good.

and granted it's one sim, but given the way he's started this year, Braun's not a guarantee either

A lot of spects in every league don't develop. It's usually a gamble worth taking though. In this case it doesn't make a lot of sense, because Braun is a young, cheap, stud. Flowers especially has odds against him because he is 24, and still has a lot of developing to do.

"Braun's not a guarantee" ...yeah you're right, I'd much rather take an undeveloped prospect, he's so much better. Yeah, let's pass this cause it's so ****ing good to have a bunch of 7 contact prospects, go Milwaukee, win a ****ing world series, yeaaaah.

Braun is one of the best rated players in the league, and one that is young and cheap for years to come. One sim, even several sims doesn't mean anything. His ratings are what they are.

    Yeah, I'm not passing this.

It'd be one thing if Braun wasn't a 26 year old stud but...he's a 26 year old stud. Brother or otherwise, I see very little benefit to Milwaukee making this deal.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

So are you saying you won't pass anything with a 26 year old stud? What's fair value to you?

Re: Trade: CH(A)/MIL (vote count: 2-3)

    Where did I say that?

Braun is a 26 year old stud...there is only one reason you trade a 26 year old stud, and that's when you are getting a hell of a deal back. This is a hell of a deal? There's no guarantee Flowers will complete his development soon, and Viciedo and Beckham are good but not great. Braun is a STUD. I repeat - STUD. There is no reason for Milwaukee to trade him. Look at the season he had last year, he is young, cheap, well rated, and signed for a while. And even if they did want to trade him, he's worth MUCH more than this.

I have just one more thing to say. How come the number 1 pick was portrayed as being so valuable despite the risk to develop but this one is invaluable. We need to be consistent here guys.

You wanna compare any of these guys to the #1 pick???

In terms of their ability to gain their full talent sure. I mean they clearly aren't as good as the top pick but there is the same risk factor in not developing (even though one is 18 and the other 24 - that isn't the point).

That is the point. The fact that Flowers is 24 greatly reduces the odds that he will fully develop. If Flowers was 18, then that is a completely different situation, but he isn't. An 18 year old has a 6 year advantage to gain talent over the 24 year old. That is a big deal.

I am shocked that people think this deal is completely unfair.

Who are we waiting on? Leo and GF?

I'm equally as shocked that there are people that think this deal is fair. I thought it would have gone down quick.
