Shit, I wanted compensation for Jason Varitek's guaranteed spot in the ASG and catching a couple dozen no hitters. Blasphemy!

Oh, Varitek is a type * Free Agent. Whoever signs him gives up every draft pick in the future of their franchise to the team that loses him...
I'll take NYY's future.

...I figure that may be the only fair way to compensate a team for losing such a leader
At least I have Pete LaForest to lean on.

CJ... i meant no personal offense to you... just having a good discussion. We just disagree a little bit. All is well at my end.
Then why do I have guys like Sam Fuld and Jake Fox on my MLB roster and not Micha Hoffpauir and Joey Gathright? Why is Chad Gaudin who was HUGE for the Cubs in 2008 and winning 97 games, still on the A's? The Cubs got him and Harden in that deal. Yet all the players the A's got from the Cubs appear to be on the A's. I don't think it's a valid argument with players still on the wrong teams.
Regardless I don't care which way we do things, was just pointing out what made more sense to me.

I agree to a point, the problem being that we did our best and gave everyone weeks to notify us if errors had been made. Most people sent in requests, and Gaudin should indeed be moved, I'll talk to Kyle about that. However, it's difficult with some minor leaguers or prospects because they required creation in game, which is a pain in the ass.

Guys..........listen
There will be no comp for free agents lost to free agency in real life this offseason. That's just not going to happen. Comp will start next offseason.
And DMB, you had plenty of time to send in roster edits. We already wend over this, you need to stop *****ing about it. I already fixed some guys for you after the deadline. No more.
I didn't say anyone should be edited, created, or anything like that. The only one who suggested it was LJ. Who said Gaudin should be on the Cubs. Which doesn't seem like some crazy notion to me, especially since the rest of the players involved in the trade are on the correct team.
I wasn't *****ing. I was just talking to LJ why I thought the draft order should be a certain way. No reason to get all crazy about it. I already said I didn't care. Whether you went with real life records from 2008, or last years sim records. It's pretty clear neither will probably reflect what the actual order should be. Which is one reason why some S3F leagues use to do records as of June 1st for the inaugural draft. The only problem with that, is we couldn't do a board draft for the first draft.
Again, none of this is a huge deal.

Zito, I should get comp for signing Varitek.
