New Idea for the All Star Game

Ok...I talked about it last season, I'm going to implement it this season. We will vote for the players that will be selected to the All Star Game. I will announce more details soon, but eah of you will be asked to submit an All Star roster for each league. Whichever players have the most votes, will make the team.

Then....the All Star game will be played out live in flash chat. The managers that appeared in the World Series last season will manage the All Star teams.

you know cj, that isn't a bad idea...to have "coaches" that can give the managers suggestions. i'm not sure if it would be necessary, but it could make it more fun. although, i don't want managers picking coaches. i think it would be more fair if the division champs and wild card winners were the coaching staff.

And I like the idea of having some "coaches" as picked by a teams place in the standings, or previous playoff.

It might be easier/better if the GMs vote for starters, and then the managers/coaches of the teams fill in the bench spots.

Does the game allow you to override its selections for the All Star game?

OOTP does not allow that. Although I have a utility that will allow you to do it. It's an old program (as old as OOTP 6), and I haven't used it in a long time. So I'm going to test it out as soon as I get the chance. In theory it should work. In reality, we all know that OOTP has it's quirks. Hopefully this is something we can do though...not only for this season, but in the future.
