While I don't agree with the reasons why its ending. And being through every season in TSSL history and it being the team with the most sustained success. Thank you Prov for running the league that long. And ill never get the chance to catch the Evil Empire.

You're remembering something wrong, Crazy, this is about the 4th incarnation of TSSL, redsfan had a couple of league files crash and tried to run a league on OOTP 2006 or whatever that new software was, no one liked it and we switched back.

I figured I probably was. That probably happened around the time of my accident, because I don't remember most of that.

You say you can't give the file to someone because it's on your account, but that's not the only place it is. It's also on your computer in your OOTP directory, that's the only way you could sim. All you'd have to do is compress that file into a ZIP file and transfer it to someone, that way no one would have access to your account and whoever agrees to run the league would simply have to unzip the file, and start running the sims. So if privacy is the only issue there, then that should solve the problem.

The file isn't in my account I said. I said if it were, I wouldn't give someone access to that anyway.

Prov said he was taking the sim page down around Christmas. So not exactly forever and always.

I won't be taking it down. I imagine real web host will when they don't get their money as that is when my next payment was due.

I hate to be a stickler for fine points but you don't have to give anyone access to your computer to transfer a file to them.

I mean, I guess someone technically has access to it temporarily, but unless you're sending it to some super genius hacker, the person isn't going to be able to view anything on your computer just because you're transfering a file to him over the internet.

And if he is, by off chance, a super genius hacker he could probably get into your computer anyways if he wanted to without you sending him anything.

I never said anyone had to have access to my computer. I said that when I took it, the file was in the free web town account. The file is not in the real web host account. I said if it were, I wouldn't give someone access to that anyway because it had personal information and such. That is all I said in regards to that.

Ok. I misunderstood your post because you posted it in response to Dam informing you that the file is on your computer somewhere and that it has to have been in order for you to run the site.

Whether or not that is true I have no idea, but it's what Dam posted and you responded to saying it's not there.

the file is on my computer...not on the site/account. the only things in the account/site are the HTML files created when you generate the report. Those aren't used to run the game. They just allow you to view stuff on the website. I was correcting him because he misstated what I said. He said that I said "I can't turn the file over because it's in my account..." I never said that. I said it wasn't in my account, but if it was, then I wouldn't give someone access to it.

They will send you a couple of notices and then block it if you don't (or forget) to pay. I'm not telling how I know that.

Provie, I don't blame you one iota for starting a new chapter for yourself and closing this one.

Do the right thing though. Go into your OOTP 6.5 folder. Zip the league file and upload it to rapidshare.com I have an account there if no one else does and if I remember correctly it was free. I used to pass my league file to my co commish in this fashion some time ago. Too many people have put too much effort into the TSSL teams. That doesn't compare to your effort, but this is not all about you. The league file really belongs to the board and the league not the commish.
