12-1 in the playoffs, I don't expect that kind of run again. Then again, my competition's biggest moves thus far have been acquiring "Adam Steinman", signing "James McCaulley" and signing "Chris Parmelee". Frightened. Really frightened.
The Batters:
LF William Resch, 10-10-2-6-6 (3 time batting champ)
3B Clinton Cheshire, 10-8-4-7-6
CF Charles Halifax, 10-8-6-8-8
2B William Meikle, 7-10-10-7-8 (reigning MVP)
SS Elder Arenas, 9-10-8-10-9
1B Dennis Meeks, 8-7-8-8-9
C Oliver Queen, 8-6-7-6-8 (3 time gold glover)
DH Akiichi Naozane, 6-9-8-10-7
RF Monroe Washington, 9-10-2-5-9
We are lacking power, but we have plenty of hitters so we should manufacture runs regardless. 3 guys with a 10 in contact, two others with 10 potential, 7/9 in the lineup have hit .300 or better before. It'll manage I suppose. Hopefully Arenas carries his ridiculous playoff performance over.
The Reservists:
C James Berglund, 8-8-7-4-8
3B Kenneth "Mission" Coombs, 6-9-10-10-5
SS Son Jarrell, 9-8-7-6-8
OF Edmundo Mora, 8-10-4-4-8
Eventually I suspect I'll be using Berglund or Coombs in platoon roles against lefties.
Starting People Pitcher Thingies:
1. Joel Ibanez, 9-8-10 (reigning Cy Young)
2. Dorian Myers, 9-7-9
3. Carlos Sanchez, 10-7-9
4. Pruden Lopez, 10-6-9
5. Roy Nutter, 9-7-9
Carlos Sanchez is pitching for a new contract.
Pen-like Human Beings
Craig Cadiz, 9-7-8
Mickey McFinnigan, 10-7-8
Cory Jones, 10-5-10
Joseph Guenther, 10-7-9
Jacobo Salzer, 10-7-10
Ryan Owings, 9-10-10 <-- Setup
Eric Brooks, 10-3-10 <-- Closer
Ryan Owings is back! Yeah! Somehow I won without white chocolate. That's fine, dark chocolate managed okay by himself.
Well, hey, Seattle and Texas won 90 plus so there's a good chance they finally get over the edge. Stranger things have happened right?
Love each day.
