11-4 sim was amazing, without DAmico and Ulrich i didn't expect to do better than 9-6.
Pros:
1) ERA and opp BA are #1 which is good for a team that had trouble with pitching last year
2) Fidel Abadia off to a great start after missing the final 2 months with an injury, he's the key to taking my offense to the next level
3) Carl Lafever is doing in the pen what i expected him to
4) I don't know why but Nestor Cruz decides to only pitch well when he's in the 5 spot in the rotation, can't explain it
5) Most of my top guys aren't up to par including Jackson, Pfarr, Johnson, Charneco, and Milardo, so if they can get back to what they've been doing that will be a huge help
Cons
1) Defense is PATHETIC, hopefully the return of D'Amico (.966)to replace Ruano(.940) will help along with Ulrich(.989) replacing Doty (.975) in the IF will help this, but its still a major concern
2) I don't think going undefeated in xtras or in 1 run games will be maintained, so I'll have to pick up the pace elsewhere to accont for the inevitable losses
3) I got no bench at all (besides Ruano and Doty), I gotta stay healthy to have a shot at this... Jericho, Suarez, Snead aren't quite ready to produce at the MLB level
4) Most of my top guys aren't up to par including Jackson, Pfarr, Johnson, Charneco, and Milardo need to get going or I'm in real trouble
Upcoming Schedule
1 vs SFG
2 @ PHI
3 @ NYM
2 vs FLA
1 @ ARZ
Really tough schedule taking on 4 teams with 10-5 or better sims, and all above .500... I'm shooting for .500 on the road and 2 of 3 on these 3 home games for a 5-4 record in the next 9 games

Pros
* The Rotation has been stellar led by Freitas (2-1, 3.32 ERA). Bludd, Morales and Butler all have ERA's at 4 or below (Bludd is at 4.00)
* Steve Mikkelson has a 1.016 OPS early, showing some signs of life.
* Huck, Tarter and Gambrell have been stellar
* Fruto is on pace for 54 Saves
* Asai is continuing his rookie season momentum
* Defense only has 9 Errors and is among the leaders in DPs turned again
Cons
* Bonney is gone for the season (unless Prov leaves it for his career which would really suck)
* Fruto's 7.00 ERA
* Team only has 48 walks
* Team is 19th in batting average
* Blaine Parker has to be recalled
* Sicipio's .157 BA but stellar defense is keeping him in the lineup.

9-6 sim, could be worse.
Pros:
-Vega, Pinelo, and both catchers are hitting everything
-Top 5 in BA and HR
-Good innings of work from the bullpen
-Constantine is on pace for 65 HR
Cons:
-McGowan, Gaudin are underachieving my hopes
-13 errors on the IF already(including Catchers)
-Tijerina is struggling early on
Up and down so far, but this team seems like it has the stuff to compete all year. I like it.
Talk about serious underperformance:
Batting AVG: .226 (27th)
Homeruns: 14 (T-19th)
Walks: 63 (3rd)
Stolen Bases: 8 (22nd)
Runs Scored: 56 (27th)
Pitching ERA: 5.90 (21st)
Opponents AVG: .275 (18th)
HRs Allowed: 18 (19th)
Walks Allowed: 67 (28th)
Runs Allowed: 87 (19th)
The only good thing out of this is the walks, which is what I was aiming for in the offseason. My 10-8-9 ace has a 5.72 ERA, and my 9-7-4-8-9 leadoff hitter is batting .172. This has GOT to get better in all areas. The bullpen sucks too. The underperformance needs to stop NOW
Why couldn't Gomez, Krouse, and Draper hit like this last year?

First sim of the year, 7-8.
Batting AVG: .278 (10th)
Homeruns: 22 (4th)
Walks: 55 (11th)
Stolen Bases: 18 (11th)
Runs Scored: 98 (2nd)
Pitching ERA: 6.07 (23rd)
Opponents AVG: .270 (16th)
HRs Allowed: 22 (T-26th)

Runs Allowed: 103 (27th)
Seems like a repeat of last year so far. Hitting is there, but pitching is atrocious. Even moved a couple top specs for MLB pitching, and while the MR acquired is doing what I though, the SP isn't. And it doesn't help that I have two guys in the bullpen with an ERA over 10, one of which is over 20.

Don't let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.
