    Re: 2018 Random Rumblings

Considering the League ERA is 5.01 in the AL could have something to do with it.

Thursday 4/20/2018: David Wright collects 2000th hit against Toronto
BOSTON - Boston's third baseman David Wright was in good mood after the game against Toronto, and he had every reason as he made some history while collecting his 2000th career hit. In 13 years of big league action so far, David has compiled a batting average of .261, along with 358 homeruns and 1272 RBI. 'My firends always told me that I will do it one day. I never believed it. Good that I was wrong!' His hit in the 2nd inning was a single off Morgan Krawczyk.

Thursday 4/27/2018: Arthur Depuy slams 3 HR
BOSTON - Arthur Depuy can hit'em a long way, and Oakland pitchers couldn't smile about that today. Boston's first baseman unloaded three bombs, adding to his reputation of being one of the best power hitters in the game. His 1st shot, a solo homerun off David Bush in the 2nd inning, cleared the fence in right-center. A 423 foot drive to right-center marked his 2nd bomb, a three-run homerun off David Bush in the 3rd inning. A pitch from Wilson Villarreal in the 5th inning left his bat for a two-run homerun, landing 355 feet from home plate in left field. Arthur went 3 for 5, scoring three runs with 6 RBI. The final score of the game was 12-5.

Monday 5/1/2018: Player of the Week honors go to Depuy
It's the 1st time that the American League Player of the Week award goes to Boston's first baseman Arthur Depuy. He had an on base percentage of .517 and hit .440, while driving in 13 runs. He got at least one hit each game this week and is on a 14 game hitting streak right now. Depuy has walked 8 times this year and posts a .321 OBP. While batting .273, 27 for 99, he has driven in 20 runs.

4th in the AL in Runs Scored. T-3 in the AL in Runs Allowed. Gotta like that. Even the bullpen hasn't been that bad, with a 4.49 ERA. What's really killing me is Jose Desantiago and his 6.71 ERA. He needs to get that down to the 3.50 range and fast.

What about my playing time? Am I not
good enough to play regularly for this
team? I'm not a happy camper right now. If that doesn't
    change, trade me!

Could it be the fact that you don't whine about playing time when you are hitting .190/.244/.310 in MAY?

He misses a sim and Pelaez is already second in the team in homeruns, and in the top ten overall. BIG stick.

thankfully, Nod just beasted even more...he was 8,10,8 and gained stuff and control. He's now 10,10,8 with that control being way off the charts. Hopefully, he comes close to reaching it.
