well..........we were going to post a thread about suggestions for this, but i might as well just throw it out here.
Our idea was to allow a GM to import 2 players of their choice from their CSSL team. However, some GM's were not in CSSL, just SBSL. So we don't know how to make it fair for them. Any ideas?
First off, combining the SBSL GMs and the CSSL GMs, do we have too many GMs?
Any rate, I figure, as long as the numbers work out well, an SBSL GM who wasn't in CSSL can have 2 players of his choice from open teams in CSSL or teams who's GM isn't going to want to continue in SBSL.
Or they can just have extra perks in the next draft?

What do you guys think of this...
1. Take all of the players from the Open SBSL teams and put them into a draft pool.
2. Have GM's in CSSL and not SBSL import their CSSL team into SBSL.
3. Have a draft for the CSSL GM's with the players from the Open SBSL teams (I think this would even out the quality of play). You can do the draft based on those teams record in CSSL currently.
4. If the quality still isn't the same, you could give them extra draft picks or something
If there are more CSSL teams who aren't in SBSL, there can just be an expansion. However, having more teams could mean there could be more inactive GM's at times.
Hmmm, That is very difficult. I don't know how it would be fair for those who were not in both leagues. If everyone doesn't get to do it . I would say don't import players at all. the only other suggestion I may have that just popped into my head. For those who don't have a CSSL team and are currently in the SBSL. Crazy could make a small list of good players and have a draft just for those teams that weren't included in importing two players from the CSSL league. Does that make sense?
In my own personal opinion, it's best to let sleeping dogs lie, as in, don't try messing with the league just yet.
Let Crazy get going, we'll get through a season, and then I'm sure he'll make things extremely interesting in some way, shape, or form. But I don't think that trying to actively merge the two leagues is a smart plan.

How in the hell is merging going to work? Stop throwing out these insane ideas everyone
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.
Ah, give me something clever to say here.
I didn't even think it was possible to merge.
I was only being facetious with my remarks on Tyler Hines on my CSSL roster.
Then people started making suggestions of actually doing it.

Importing two players from our CSSL teams could create confusion now that I think about it.
Let's say I decide to bring over Jeff Francis.
Now we have a Jeff Francis on Vice City and another one on Philadelphia?
I suppose we could limit transfers to fictional players such as the movie characters in the last draft.

I didn't even think about that. I say just have the owners from the CSSL that don't have teams in the SBSL choose an open team and let it be at that. It will be simpiliar that way and much quicker to get the ball rolling again.
If we combined all GMs, then there would be too many. Although, we have a lot of inactive GMs in both leagues. Bottom line... Active SBSL GMs keep their teams, then the active CSSL GMs can fill the rest. This way we should have an extremely active league, and wow, that could make for some great live sims.
