for the price, I'll take Eckersly ($6 mil vs. $13 mil). Eckersly may only be 10,8,8 instead of 9,10,9 with the potential for 10,10,10, but he's not injury prone. The difference between the 2 is not $7 mil IMHO. Dibble is an even better deal at $4.5 mil and he's 10,8,10. All of them are 27 years old, too.

Time has come to lock down Tex and make me sign with a team. My offer just might be the top one.

    Las Vegas gm
    KBSL - Atlanta Hawks
    Arizona gm - MSL

Not to mention that if you ask me, control is the most overrated number for a closer(IN OOTP, Not real life).

I was happy to get 10-8-8 Brian Fuentes for 4 mil over only 3 years...especially after the year he just had.

Oh ok. I wondered, because the free agent class and draft class is supposed to help fix that problem.

It would if people wouldn't spend ridiculous amounts on contract offers.

8 digits for a relief pitcher?

Dan Quisenberry would be the 2nd highest paid relief pitcher in baseball right now IRL, behind only Mariano Rivera.

About Quisenberry there must have been several other GM's willing to pay over 10 million because he turned down my original offer.

Apparently there were, which is why the complaint was made in a general tone of everyone overspending for relievers and not just you.

I guess you can say I'm a bit sore. I tried to deplete my entire free agency cash and got turned down on both of my offers.

That really sucks that you didn't get anyone you wanted. Even though I did get 2 of the guys I will be disappointed if I don't get my main target which I am spending a ton of money on to try to get.

Your main target was my other target that I got turned down for, when I thought I was pushing the limit as is.

He's going to become the highest paid player in CSSL.

Tex shouldn't even be a FA...he should have been resigned to SF since they had no GM really. Too young and too good to let go...

Re: 2nd Round Free Agent Signings

I really need him because my current 1B is Chip Cannon so I really went heavy and hard to try and get him. I suppose if someone is crazy enough to go higher than me then they can have him because if he doesn't sign this period I just might say forget it.

So Prov what you are saying is if a team has an inactive GM then they should get rewarded for not being active and have someone else do there job?

I'm just glad to have him out of the division at least.

Re: 2nd Round Free Agent Signings

The team doesn't even have a GM now...it wasn't that he was inactive. He disappeared and is now being replaced. Now that team looks even more unattractive to a prospective GM. That's the main reason why I said he probably should have been resigned.
