Free agency round 1: Friday, 2 AM CST

NOTE: ZACK GREINKE, NOAH LOWRY, OSCAR VILLAREAL ARE NOT FREE AGENTS AND WILL NOT ACCEPT CONTRACT OFFERS FROM ANYONE. DO NOT SEND IN OFFERS.

    RULES:

There is only one....the maximum yearly salary offered to any ONE player is 20 million/year AND no contract may exceed 140 million total.

Meaning, the maximum contract you can offer a player would be 20 mil per for 7 years. Pretty lax rules, if you ask me, but I do not want to have escalating salaries.

I'll prolly wind up doing this on Saturday or really late Friday night (meaning, I'll be trashed).

Please PM all offers to me. Also, keep Minor League contract offers to a maximum of 2 per period.

This will sim the first 10 days of FA. If you have not checked in in the GM check in thread, please do so.

Start PMing now. PMs after 2 AM on Friday will not be accepted.

In case anyone was wondering, I've entered my offers before I began accepting PMs and I will not be making any more offers than the ones I already have.

The thread was posted on Thursday.

He hasn't done it yet, so we've really had 48 hours.

Although if General wants to put it off another day or two if he feels people need more time, that's cool.

I was only asking because he posted that it'd be last night or today.

    24 hours, really?

67 hours, and that's if I ran it right now. Quit whining.

Come on man, you know I don't talk unless I really believe it to be true. The first post says: Free agency round 1: Friday, 2 AM CST - 05-01-2008, 01:48 AM

Friday is 5/2/08... My math says 24 hours and 12 minutes from the announcement to the deadline. Whining is not what I am doing.

I agree with this. I am not trying to stir things up. I just struggle with opening SBSL when it is dormant and then it appears that the same off-season check-in is the only thread active thread. So I miss the FA thread because I didn't open the league up. I really want to be active in this league and contribute, but it's tough. I'll keep trying as long as we can be patient with each other.

If you're gonna have an issue with everything I do, I don't think we can coexist.

Its fairly obvious that i haven't ran anything yet, and yet you insist on complaining about it.

General, typing 24 hours with a question mark is not complaining. We can take this to AIM. Making comments about co-existance publicly could box both of us into a corner considering the PMs we have exchanged. I have publicly said in this thread that I wish to be active and contribute. I mean that. Just try to think about it from a GMs perspective. Thanks.
