Never give in! lol
Never give in! lol
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.
Ah, give me something clever to say here.
nice mullett

Don't let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.
A pretty good start to the season, hard to tell trends after 10 games, but 6-4 is good enough for the start.
Batting AVG: .327 (1st) - b*tchin
Homeruns: 9 (T-16th)
Walks: 21 (T-30th)
Stolen Bases: 16 (6th) - i figure this rank will get even higher
Runs Scored: 60 (T-5th) - not bad
Pitching ERA: 4.04 (12th) - Eh, this needs to lower itself. I'm a bit surprised 4.04 is good enough for 12th
Opponents AVG: .296 (29th)
HRs Allowed: 6 (T-5th)
Walks Allowed: 27 (9th)
Runs Allowed: 51 (18th)

Jeremy Hermida sets a new single game AL-Record for Strikeouts with 6.
ouch lol...what do you even call that? 3 is the hat trick and 4 is the golden sombrero...double hat trick?
6 - 4 sim and in first place so far...
Batting AVG: .257 (21st)
Homeruns: 17 (T-3rd)
Walks: 37 (T-5th)
Stolen Bases: 14 (9th)
Runs Scored: 54 (T-8th)
Pitching ERA: 3.59 (8th)
Opponents AVG: .239 (7th)
HRs Allowed: 10 (20th)
Walks Allowed: 32 (21st)
Runs Allowed: 45 (11th)
I'd like to get those walks allowed and homers allowed down...
Per wikipedia:
He receives the Olympic Rings or a "Texas Star" for striking out five times and the "horn" for striking out six times in a game - a rare occurrence, which in the history of major league play has only been accomplished in extra innings games.

well, apparently he did it in a 21 inning game

0 for 7 with 6 k's and 2 walks. He played the entire game.
Adam Jones with the game winning 2-run homer in the top of the 21st.
my bullpen gave me 14 shutout innings in the game (Cox, Casilla, Lopez, Kim, Dotel, Hines, Ramos). My pitchers had 23 k's...my batters had 20.
oh, and apparently Magglio Ordonez was tired of playing and got ejected for arguing strikes in the 21st inning It only took 7 and a half hours to complete.
Joaquin Arias was named Player of the Week!
He batted .577 in 26 AB, with 2 HR and 6 RBI.
No wonder i'm first in batting average
a decent 1st sim, went 6-4
Batting AVG: .268 (16th)
Homeruns: 9 (T-16th)
Walks: 33 (13th)
Stolen Bases: 15 (T-7th)
Runs Scored: 47 (18th)
Pitching ERA: 3.07 (4th)
Opponents AVG: .218 (1st)
HRs Allowed: 5 (1st)
Walks Allowed: 34 (T-24th)
Runs Allowed: 33 (3rd)
hitting didn't come though like I thought it might but it seems like it average enough
pitching was great from both the roation and bullpen except the walks allowed

I had some surpises with this 1st SIM and some disappoitments. Josh Barfield has been a big surprise while Phil Hughes has been somewhat of a disappointment so far. 4-6 record
Nice first sim: 8-2
Batting AVG: .305 (2nd)
Homeruns: 8 (T-20th)
Walks: 21 (30th)
Stolen Bases: 15 (7th)
Runs Scored: 63 (T-1st)
Pitching ERA: 2.22 (1st)
Opponents AVG: .227 (4th)
HRs Allowed: 7 (T-7th)
Walks Allowed: 21 (4th)
Runs Allowed: 32 (2nd)
-I guess the power could improve, but at 8-2, I'm not too concerned. The pitching has been great with Sheets' ERA at .59, and Wheeler and Gagne still having not given up a run.
