Wednesday 9/20/2008: Detroit's Todd Helton gets milestone hit
DETROIT - Detroit's first baseman Todd Helton already had some highlights in his career, and today he added another one, getting his 2000th career hit. His best year so far was 2000 where he hit .372 with 42 homeruns and 147 RBI. 'Baseball is a great game, and adding something to it's history is smething I've always wanted. What a great day!' His hit in the 1st inning was a two run homerun off Johnny Cueto.

if the game uses the same qualifications as MLB, isn't Stubbs ineligible for RotY because he had more 150 ABs in the previous season?

I've thrown in the towel, hopefully God or Shadow can chase down the dopes (there's something about a team being called the Dopes representing your division being slightly embarrassing).

I'm going to start my three prospects for the last couple of sims, Masterson gain talent last sim.. he'll be in the rotation. Grantham damn near maxed out already, he'll start at 1B and Jake Long is ready enough to be my catcher. Already started clearing out some of my team, cut a few guys that aren't important for next year or ever for that matter.

I am pretty damn happy with my first ever season as manager and GM of the Green Monster City Redsox. I am guareenteed at least a .500 record even if my team loses the remaining 10 games of the season. I am also in the hunt for the Division title as I have a 1 game lead with 10 games to go. I am quite happy with my guys.
