Please send in your lineups, trim your rosters to 25, and post games 1-5 starters here. I'll sim the whole thing in one fell swoop.

Wait a minute. So nothing can be done about my Cards getting screwed out of the playoffs because they played 163 games while the wildcard winner Reds played the normal 162?
Unfortunately, no. OOTP has advanced to playoff mode, which impedes what I was going to do (have Cards-Cincy play a one-game playoff).
EDIT: No, that's a lie.
I'll send out a PM.

but then if St. Louis wins they'll have played an extra game...Cincinnati would have to play another to game to even it out...'cause then they could be tied theoretically and have another 1-game playoff
Quite a condundrum eh
Marshall: MILSWANCAs?
Ted: Wait, I can get this. Mothers I'd like to sleep with and never call again.
Barney: Circle gets the square!

no, I'm not completely wrong you tool.
Obviously, if CIN wins, then nothing changes.
If STL wins, then they would have played an extra game and it's the same scenario again.
They need to have played the same amount of games for it to be fair. If STL wins, then CIN needs to play another game against someone to have played the same number of games. If CIN wins that game, then they'd be tied again and would have to play a 1-game playoff.
Of course, you could just have CIN play someone else to begin with...if they lose, 1 game playoff, if they win then they're in...either way, they both would have played the same number of games.
St. Louis was tied with Cincinnati at 91-71 at the 162nd game mark. St. Louis' 72nd loss occurred in a 163rd game that shouldn't have been played. St. Louis deserves the one-game playoff.
no doubt...perhaps the schedule maker will fix that issue for the future.
I agree
It should be a simple Reds-Cardinals one game playoff
winner is in, loser sits at SIMhome
