    2013 ST Sim Info

    -The sim will be around 4:30PM EST Friday (11/30)...the deadline for information will be 4PM EST

    -Post here or PM me if you want "coaches suggestions"

    -No PM or post here will result in the default settings of 5's across the board

    -PM if you want to change a few of the players on your own...just please keep it within reason (10 players max). I will not enter manual changes for your entire team...

    If manual changes are not in order (noted below), they will not be entered correctly. Here is a breakdown if you want to do some manual changes:

    hitters
    there are 4 categories (in order: contact, power, eye, and defense) for a total of 20 points. You can spread them out how you want...if you want a player to learn a new position, then you'll have to spread out 15 points and use 5 of the points to do so.

    pitchers
    there are 4 categories (in order: stuff, velocity, control, and stamina) for a total of 20 points. You can spread them out you want as well. If you want a pitcher to learn a new role, then you'll have to spread out 15 points and use 5 of the points to do so.

    Example: Joe Blow - CF

    default setting: contact 5, power 5, eye 5, defense 5 = 20

    You could change it to:

    6,6,6,2
    5,6,5,4
    4,3,4,4 + learn position

    whatever you choose, the total will be 20.

    Note
    Only promotions and demotions (along with ST changes) can be made at this time. No lineups, rotations, and etc. at this time. You can send those after the ST sim and the site has been updated on Friday night.

    What number would have a player simply maintain his rating in a certain category? Or is it variable?

    I think the default settings would keep things the way they are with the exception of any actual talent gained / lost.

    Okay, let's see if I can try to do this.

    Fives Across: No player declines in ST. Some gain ability ratings(no talent.)

    Coaches: The game suggests where improvment is needed to make a well rounded player, normally the things that decline are defense(for bat help) or power(for more contact) in hitters, and velocity(to improve control/movement) in pitchers.

    Truthfully, the changes are pretty small in most cases anyway.

    I don't suggest manually doing changes unless you've tinkered with the game to the point that you feel fully confortable with it. It's just not worth the effort for the lack of reward.

    Just a reminder that the deadline for ST info is 4PM EST. I will be simming shortly after that time now because I was able to take care of some things last night. The first sim of the 2013 season will be on Sunday BTW...probably around 2PM EST.
