Key Losses:
MR, Brad Lidge
Key Additions:
SP, Jon Garland
MR, Matt Belisle
Bottom Line:
Coming off a 103 win season, the Cubbies are hopeful for this season. Garland should help solidify the back end of the rotation. My ace Jason Hirsh is coming off his best season as a pro. Todd Helton's injury late last season stripped him of his talent, but hopefully Chase Ulrich has a break out year. Even with the loss of Lidge this is still a dominant pen.
All in all this should be a top 10 pitching staff and offense. As long as it performs we'll be in the playoff mix. My aim is to win 95+ games. Though with the St. Louis Powerhouse Cardinals in my division, that's still probably only the Wild Card.
