    San Diego is offering its 14th overall pick (1st round) for;

    a closer

    Here is the catch, you have to take Brian Schneider and his contract so I can afford your pitcher. http://www.freewebtown.com/thirdstrike/index2.html

    Can't believe he lasted that long. Great pick!

    Also, might as well put it out there now, don't expect a large drop off next season with the ammies. Pretty much what I do with ammies will offset the general weakness of free agency because I'm not too crazy about making a dozen sexy free agents and watching 20 million dollar contracts fly everywhere. I might add a couple of good pieces, and some solid pieces to make things interesting, but.

    My ammy drafts are good times for all.

    see here

    so that's the 2008th, 2009th, and 2010th 1st round picks that you've dealt.
    yeah ive dealt all 3, but its not like its an old team. In fact its younger than yours.

    New York (A) Receives:
    1st round Ammy Pick in 2008 -- Will probably be his best player
    1st round Ammy pick in 2010 -- Will probably be his 2nd best player
    Andrew Clark, 5.0 Spect 1B, MLC -- Has he gotten beyond A ball yet?
    Jack Wilson, 2.0 Star SS, $6,100,000 -- I'm sure hes a difference maker
    4 million to be paid in 2009 and 2010

    ARod got me the pieces that brought Rocco Baldelli, Coco Crisp. And allowed me to get a couple of other pieces to solidify the offense (which is doing quite well). Just because my unwillingness to give ARam a 15 M+ deal doesn't mean he would hit .370 at the Safe. But ill take the extra 27 M to spend down the road if I need too.

    yes, and when those posts were made your deal with Texas wasn't done...and I said you sent the 2010 pick...no one ever said the 2009 pick went to NYY. And who said your team was old? My team is right at the average age. You seemed to have forgotten that you dealt that pick with your "uhh, I dealt the 2009 pick to Texas, not NYY." So I reminded you, which I initially said, that you deal the 2010 pick to NYY.

    Also, I moved the posts that weren't people taking picks to this thread as that was the intention...to keep that thread for people making picks and to discuss draft related stuff here. Let's all try to keep it that way. Thanks.

    You made it seem like the this years pick was taken. I knew the 2010 pick went to NYY.

    you'll have to discuss that with KoZ as he was handling trades at the time...I had nothing to do with that.
