After taking the White Sox to a Game 7 in the World Series. Where they had two runners on in the bottom of the 9th with their slugger up as the tieing run. The NL Champion Come Back Cubbies lost. Hirsh is finally a solid ace, and the rest of the team continues to develop. They barely lost the title of youngest team going into the season. They are now the second youngest (damn Angels). After blowing the division late in the last month of the season they look to get the division crown in 2009. With $55+ million in Free Agent money plus close to an additional $30 million coming off the books after this season. The Cubs can keep their core intact for many years as long as health allows that.
