Im also in a division where everyone is over .500 and my last sim played the top 3 from the AL East. At this point last season I would have the 2nd worst record in the league. Another words, Im pretty happy with the team I have. I mean I have more wins than 3 of the teams of the top 5 in team salary and they have a bigger difference in payroll than the 30 Mil difference with us.

    1 Chicago (A) $113,428,571 (22-22, 2nd AL Central)
    2 St. Louis $110,996,000 (21-23, 4th NL Central)
    3 Boston $106,291,428 (28-16, 2nd AL East)
    4 New York (N) $100,188,143 (19-25, Last NL East)
    5 New York (A) $94,651,429 (10-34, Last AL East)
    6 Baltimore $89,626,071 (29-15, 1st AL East)
    7 San Diego $87,928,572 (18-26, T-Last NL West)
    8 Oakland $87,694,000 (27-17, 1st AL West)
    9 Los Angeles (N) $87,470,000 (24-20, 2nd NL West)
    10 Chicago (N) $86,096,500 (28-16, 1st NL Central)
    --------------------------------------------------------
    20 Anaheim $53,390,714 (26-18, 2nd AL West)
    21 Texas $52,744,143 (22-22, Last AL West)
    22 Seattle $50,747,000 (25-19, 3rd AL West)
    23 Houston $50,609,428 (15-29, Last NL Central)
    24 Minnesota $46,848,571 (15-29, Last NL Central)
    25 Arizona $41,446,429 (19-25, 3rd NL West)
    26 Kansas City $33,513,927 (25-19, 1st AL Central)
    27 Tampa Bay $32,971,429 (16-28, 4th AL East)
    28 Cincinnati $32,446,000 (18-26, 5th NL Central)
    29 Philadelphia $23,740,000 (21-23, 4th NL East)
    30 Pittsburgh $20,263,572 (25-19, 3rd NL Central)

I really don't see too much difference from the top 10 in salary to the bottom 10. I didnt say I was going to win a divison, I just orginally said I would win more than 74 on my team thread. I was also told, lets us know when you win more than 70, Im more than on my way to surpass that. So I will remain happy with a 50 million dollar payroll and be in the thick of a tougher AL West.

Danget! For reference to my madness refer to SD and see who is out for the season. Brad Penny!

This sucks. I can't believe this team is sitting in last place in the West. I built a nice team this offseason. Granted, the offense still could use an upgrade, but with the pitching injuries (Colon and Penny) and Giles plummeting after a stellar couple of seasons this team is in the cellar. I will need some retooling very soon or else this team is a disaster in the making.

With nothing left in the minor leagues other than Chet Reason, this team was created to win now. And we are in last place. UGH! Here is to another big FA signing this next offseason.

Man, what the hey. John Sanchez did not have to go and lose talent. C'mon, how evil. Evil!

And what's with the damn winning record.

It's still intresting to look at it. I'd hope that I'm in 4th or 5th by the end of the season, personally, because my team isn't ready yet.

I hate when you get new 5 star prospects. It seems to happen every other sim too.

I'm excited about what could be a new addition to my offense soon. I drafted Teo Peņa with the 6th overall pick last year. He has 9-8-8-7-9 talent. He's 8-8-4-4-8 against LHP and 7-7-4-3-8 against RHP. Even with the addition of Matt Morris I maintained my title of youngest team in the league. No one besides Dempster is over 27 in the pen. Morris is the only one over 28 in the rotation.
