Walter Talamantez has improved his plate disclipine!
went from a 3.5 star prospect to a 5.0 star prospect, contact talent went from 6 to 8 and Discipline/Eye I think went from 7 to 9. My Best prospect right now and he's in AAA and finally his nickname makes sense Walter "Ace" Talamantez.

Scott Williams has learned to better avoid strikeouts!

Making a move in the East. Maybe I can unseat one of Missions Marlins Dynasties. KNowing him though, it wont happen. Still Have have such a youthful team and most positions are filled with them (Except Catcher....). Its going to be 9interesting the next few years.

Back in first place again... One of the Best pitching staff in baseball? I like (by Runs Allowed and ERA).

    Batting AVG: .254 (20th)
    Homeruns: 101 (8th)
    Walks: 297 (14th)
    Stolen Bases: 54 (29th)
    Runs Scored: 449 (13th)

    Pitching ERA: 3.55 (1st)
    Opponents AVG: .241 (1st)
    HRs Allowed: 79 (10th)
    Walks Allowed: 258 (7th)
    Runs Allowed: 381 (T-2nd)

Offense still needs a kick with a top of the lineup type hitter. Wow if Santana, Bush, and Milton (yes that guy Reds Fans) pitch like they are now that alone provides me with enough pitching to raise chaos in the playoffs. But I hope to add one more bat before the deadline passes.

Every time I get a little closer, I lose a little the next sim...only 5 games out though. 4 games out in the Wild Card.

And Slyder please, your 1-2-3 is nothing compared to the 1-2-3 I had in the first season. Carpenter (20 - 6, 2.44 Cy Young), Sheets (18 - 2, 2.02 an NL season record until Harden broke it last season), and Harden (17 - 5, 2.29). We went 103 and 59. And guess what? We got swept in the 1st round. My offense was a little better than yours is so I wouldn't count on anything. OOTP is so unpredictable at times.

SP Tyrell Berta (3.0 star spect) has been injuried for 8 weeks, and will be out for 3 more weeks

    yet his injury was only
"Injured on 6/8/2008 with a Strained Back Muscle, out for 5 weeks..."

    so this happens

    Date: Monday, 7/3/2008
    Subject: Tyrell Berta healing process
Tyrell Berta is not recovering as fast as I have
hoped! So expect his injury to last about 7 more days.

    Regards,
    Team Doctor

Subject: Chase Headley learns new position
Chase Headley has made noteable progress
    learning his new position, Shortstop.
I would rate his skills as "2" right now.

    Regards,
    Your scouting director

Gives me an extra option for Headley if he doesn't work out at 3B, Headley also increased his power from 4 to 5, still needs to get his Eye up more before he can be a very good player.

It is truly a miracle that you do not have a 12-15 game lead...
