    Mets 2007 New York Mets

With no money to spend and no hope of unloading my overpriced veterans, this is what I'm going to have to work with to avoid 100 losses (not bloody likely)

    Lineups v. RHP/LHP
    1. SS Jose Reyes
    2. CF Brian Anderson
    3. 3B David Wright
    4. LF Manny Ramirez
    5. 1B Xavier Nady
    6. RF Endy Chavez
    7. C Paul Lo Duca
    8. 2B Jose Castillo
    9. Pitcher

    Lineups v. RHP/LHP w/DH
    1. SS Jose Reyes
    2. CF Brian Anderson
    3. 3B David Wright
    4. DH Manny Ramirez
    5. 1B Xavier Nady
    6. RF Endy Chavez
    7. C Paul Lo Duca
    8. 2B Jose Castillo
    9. LF Damian Rolls

    Starting Rotation
    1. Pedro Martinez (10-7-6)
    2. Jose Contreras (8-6-7)
    3. Jon Garland (6-9-7)
    4. Adam Wainwright (8-6-5)
    5. Orlando Hernandez (7-6-5)

    Alternate Starter
    Elmer Dessens (15%) (7-8-8)

    Middle Relief
    1. Dave Burba (7-7-7)
    2. Javier Lopez (5-8-7, DEATH to lefties!)
    3. Steve Karsay (7-6-7)
    4. Juan Padilla (6-7-8)

    Setup Relief
    1. Duaner Sanchez (7-7-8)
    2. Craig Hansen (8-6-8)

    Closer
    Billy Wagner (10-8-8)

Prediction: 62-100. This team is old, and like all good things in life, must die soon. The faster the team totally dies, the sooner the rebuilding can begin...someone please tell me we could avoid 100 losses, just so that I don't feel too bad.

    RIP

If you can get anything out of your 4 and 5 starters, and your 6th and 7th inning guys can get leads to the 8th and 9th, this could be a .500 team.
