my trades didn't effect my protection list...I traded 4 players on the list for 4 players that I put on the list...so my team didn't effect the expansion teams in any way.

it effects the file that is shown on the website though, because players are not on your protection list, and also not on your team, but theyre on your team in the file, so it would be easy to get confused. its not a huge thing though, its just cumbersome.

unfortunately, I can't update the site to reflect my trades, but none of those players were availble to begin with (on my team or the two teams I traded with).

OOTP has a feature that allows you to import and export your line-ups and other changes. I upload the file to the website, and each team can make their changes, and export them back to the website. I can then import the changes from the website. Most of the GMs in this league don't have OOTP, but some do, so I do things both ways here. A lot of OOTP leagues require you to own the game.

I know some people could do that, but I guess my question should have been...can they see other people's offers made to FAs if they open the file and enter their own?

They can't with this file, because I haven't entered any offers yet. As far as the following rounds, I'm not sure if they can see them or not. There is a commisioner password that keeps GMs from seeing and doing a lot of things.

Which is why I have it. Most of the time it's easier to make your changes that way as well, so I appreciate you giving the option Crazy.

Crazy.. expansion teams have at least 15 mil to spend on FA? but, we don't know how much salary we are going to spend through the draft..
If I spend 15 mil on the draft, which is very easy to do I won't I won't have any to spend on FAs..

If you set a password for the teams, other GM's cant see it.

You don't have to spend it all. Besides, you probably have a better idea of who you are going after in the draft, and how much money you will need than I do.

Well...the deadline for the 1st round is Monday...after the draft. By then you will know where you stand financially. I'll sim one day tonight, but there may not be any signings at all. This is just a chance to get some offers in, and to see what the market is like.
