6-4 Sim
2-1 @ CLE
2-1 vs. HOU
0-1 @ DET
1-1 @ ANA
1-0 vs. BAL
Wow, what a sim! Beating Cleveland in a 3 game series ON THE ROAD is simply amazing, winning series at home is always good, a split with Anaheim is also good, and they topped it all off by starting the series against Baltimore well. The one thing I'm confused and disappointed with is the 0-1 @ DET. Was that a makeup game?

Bold denotes important development
Another reason that this was a great sim was the enormous amount of positive development. Lockhart increases his control and movement actuals, Bonilla increases his contact actuals, and Puckett finally develops a RF range. I don't like the fact that Puckett's arm got worse, nor do I like the fact that Olsen's movement actuals went down, but there's always going to be some negative development. On the whole, this was a great sim for the White Sox in terms of development.
Sim Results:
6/23: W 3-2 @ Cleveland - A great performance by Chaz Roe, who went 7 innings allowing 2 runs (both earned) on 5 hits and 2 walks and striking out a career high 11, was almost squandered by an inept White Sox offense. The bats finally came to life in the 9th, as the Sox scored 2 runs to tie the game, which would go to extras, where the Sox would score one more in the 10th to win it.

6/24: L 15-3 @ Cleveland - This game was a disaster from the start. 13 runs allowed in the first two innings, and the starter, Sunny Kim, didn't even get an out on his way to allowing 6 runs (all earned) on 4 hits and 2 walks. At least the offense was able to get 3 off Prior, all coming in the 5th inning, but that's about the only positive in this game.
Player of the Game: RF Tim Raines Jr. 1-2 2B 2 RBI
Pitcher of the game: MR Esteban Yan 2/3 IP 1 H 0 R 0 ER
6/25: W 6-4 @ Cleveland - A great bounceback game for the White Sox. Graman had a decent, but not great or even quality, start, going 5 1/3 innings allowing 4 runs (all earned) on 10 hits and 2 walks, striking out 6. The offense, however, came alive, giving the pitching a tie ballgame through 8, and scoring one in each of the last two innings to get the win.

Pitcher of the game: MR Esteban Yan 1 IP 1 H 0 R 0 ER 1 K W
6/26: W 1-0 vs. Houston - A GEM was thrown by Brock Lockhart in this game, who finally seems to be getting his stuff together at the big league level. Brock went 6 2/3 shutout innings, allowing only 3 hits and 4 walks while striking out 6. Fortunately, the offense was able to scratch out a run for him, which was all he needed to get his first big league win.

6/27: L 11-8 vs. Houston - Wade Miller really needs to retire. Another shellacking at the hands of an opposing offense for him. He doesn't even make it out of the first inning this time, going 2/3 of an inning, allowing 5 runs (all earned) on 3 hits and 3 walks and striking out 1. Both offenses got going early and often though, and this game wound up going to extras, but 3 runs in the 11th sealed the deal for the Astros.

6/28: W 6-2 vs. Houston - Just the usual quality start from Chaz Roe. He went 6 2/3, allowing 2 runs (both earned) on 3 hits and 3 walks, striking out 6. What stands out about this game is that he FINALLY got a win for his trouble, because he actually got some run support. The Sox got to Astros starter Oliver Perez early and often, scoring 4 runs in the first 3 innings, and Roe never looked back.

6/30: L 9-2 @ Detroit - The weird game in the bunch. For some reason, there was a 1 game series in Detroit for the White Sox, and they didn't fare well. Graman got shelled, allowing 5 runs (all earned) in 3.1 innings on 7 hits and 3 walks while striking out 4. The extremely streaky offense did not show up for this game. All in all this was just one of these bad games they tend to throw up once every 4-5 games.
Player of the Game: 1B Chris Duncan 1-4 HR, RBI, R
Pitcher of the game: MR Angel Moreno 1/3 IP 1 H 0 R 0 ER
7/5: L 2-1 @ Anaheim - This is the average start for Chaz Roe. He goes 6 innings, gives up 2 runs (one earned) on 4 hits and 3 walks, strikes out 3, and gets the loss. Why? Because the offense NEVER shows up for him. All the bats were able to muster was a late comeback attempt, but Ryan Wagner quickly shut the door on those thoughts.
Player of the Game: SP Chaz Roe 6 IP 4 H 2 R 1 ER 3 BB 3 K
Pitcher of the game: SP Chaz Roe 6 IP 4 H 2 R 1 ER 3 BB 3 K
7/6: W 4-0 @ Anaheim - A superb outing by Alex Graman gets him a win. He went 8 2/3 shutout innings allowing 4 hits and 2 walks and striking out 5. The offense gave him some support early and more late, scoring a run in the 2nd, 6th, 7th, and 8th innings.
Player of the Game: SP Alex Graman 8 2/3 IP 4 H 0 R 0 ER 2 BB 5 K W
Pitcher of the game: SP Alex Graman 8 2/3 IP 4 H 0 R 0 ER 2 BB 5 K W
7/7: W 3-2 vs. Baltimore: Sunny Kim was good while he lasted in this game. He went 4 shutout innings, allowing 4 hits, no walks, and striking out one. The offense provided him with an early lead though, and he pitched well with it. T.J. Tucker didn't, but he still wound up with the win since Kim didn't last 5.
Player of the Game: LF Bobby Bonilla 2-4 2B RBI
Pitcher of the game: MR Angel Moreno 3 IP 1 H 0 R 0 ER 1 BB 3 K
