The Angels are finally showing some improvement. Is it too late though? 9 games and the AL East behind in the Wild Card. 6-3 for the sim, continued improvement from Adam Smith, who looks to be about ready for the big show. Someone will be very pissed off shortly as they are sent to AAA for the 1st round pick. The Lineup continues to be an enigma as it was seen as the stronger side of this team.

Defensively no one can come close to my team. Plus I am going to give Betancourt some "time off" and put Belliard back out there at 2b to try and mix things up. Jerome Williams shows some fire since being demoted to the pen.

Besides those listed above only Minor variance in development nothing worth noting.

    Batting AVG: .264 (11th)
    Homeruns: 95 (T-17th)
    Walks: 391 (13th)
    Stolen Bases: 145 (8th)
    Runs Scored: 559 (15th)

    Pitching ERA: 4.33 (17th)
    Opponents AVG: .250 (11th)
    HRs Allowed: 141 (27th)
    Walks Allowed: 341 (7th)
    Runs Allowed: 549 (17th)

Colon was outstanding in July and deserved that player of the month award, I hope he keeps it up he was a huge reason I made the decision to stay in the fight mostly rather than break up the vets and build for the future.

Anaheim's Sabo wins Player of the Week award
It's the 1st time that the American League Player of the Week award goes to Anaheim's third baseman Chris Sabo. He hit .476 with 11 RBI and slugged .952 in 21 at bats. <<< Now if only Mauer would hit like he should demanding 7.5 mil per year.

Edgar Gonzalez is upto at least 8 straight W's in decisions which makes it hard for me to knock him from the rotation.

Won 6 in a row @CPR and CWS. Then Lost 3 in a row to Bos and KC . Got to improve vs the teams ahead of me if I want any chance to beat the AL East and win the Wild Card.

I haven't looked much around, but I have to think Braulio Hernandez is a canidate for rookie of the year with his .980 OPS. He has really carried my offense for the past few months after his slow start.

Matt Cain sure received a different rating boost. Went from 93-96 to throwing 100+ and increased his GB% about 20 points. Right after the boost, he threw 13 K's in a game and then 19, one less than the record. Way to go.

Oh and it looks like I'm getting that much closer to my perfect sim I've been planning for. 8-2 one sim and then 8-1 the next. Are we looking at a 10-0 sim this time? Watch out Boston, I'll have the WC soon enough.

Never, not once, have I seen GB% change. That's been tampered with, that has!

General, isn't it understood that you cannot argue or anger the OOTP gods? They go how they please. They like me, sometimes, but ha, boy do they hate you.

September first and I'm 6 games back of Lou Brown's Indians, and I'm probably not going to get any closer. Like last year, I seem to be able to stick close to the division leader, but I can't catch him. If my team could have stayed about .500 at home this year, I 'd be right up there, but I seem to find a way to consistently throw a monkey wrench into the works. Last year it was the bullpen falling apart early in the year, and this year it is the inconsistent starters. Of course, it doesn't help that we haven't been able to hit all year or take a walk.
I'll just have to see how the final month plays out.

I haven't tampered with anything. Geeeez...Cain is even in the same league as my team. I've never tampered with any ratings in the league. Those numbers do look really messed up though.

No, I aint blaming you, I know you wouldn't have done that.

    Raphinctor bribed the OOTP developers.

I don't get the numbers though. It says velocity is 20, but 10 is the max for velocity. It goes from 1-10.

  12. #162
    I guess 20=100+ MPH.

20 would be something like 1000mph I'm guessing.

  14. #164
Well, you can give Sanchez 20 and see what happens.
