2003 Hybrid World Champion (115-47 reg season, 11-4 playoffs)
TBL: Anaheim Angels 2006-present (238-244 regular season, 1 division title)
MSL: St Louis Cardinals 2013-present (2734-2936 regular season, 5 division titles, 2 championships)
TSSL: Seattle Mariners 2006-2029, Pittsburgh Pirates 2030-present (209-277, 5 division titles w/SEA, 1 championship w/SEA)
As I was calculating the posts, I thought I should clarify the above rule. Only 5 of your posts per sim month count toward your total points, but I will count your best posts. For example, you reach your 5 post total for 2/2007 with 5 one point posts like this 1-1-1-1-1. You will no longer recieve points unless I determine that you have made a 2 point post. 2 point posts will override a 1 point post, so your totals will look like this 2-1-1-1-1.Originally Posted by CrazyEights

Well...I don't have excel. The info is on page 7 of this thread...is there any additional info that you need?
commish i have an idea for u on this because i knew that this idea will not work because most of the time the active owners have the top teams. So it isnt fair for someone that should have the last pick, have the 1st. You get what im saying. You would loss so many owners with this too. I wont leave but i am telling u people will. But i have an idea to fix it.
Here it is:
You set this point system in to sections. Like the 5 worse teams are in a section and the team with the most points there get the 1st pick and so on from there. So if the guy with that 5th pick is active he could move up 5 to the 1st.
How i would set up the sections
1- 5
6-15
16-30
This wouldnt allow the best teams to get the 1st pick or even in the top 10. I mean that is real cheap. The worse teams have the top picks to get better. This will have the worse teams that are trying to rebuild being real active to get that top pick and it will have the best teams trying to get higher picks to get some good prospects to keep on winning. I mean this allows teams to move up for being active but not just cheaply get to the top when there team doesnt need it. im telling u this is the only way this could ever work. It is a good idea what u are thinking of and i have never heard it before but it has some holes in it and this is needed to make it work.

This system won't allow the best teams to get the 1st pick either though. I tested the system, and if the best team (30th pick) gets the max points in every category which will be really hard to get if not impossible to get, they could only move up to the 15th pick. That is assuming that all of the teams in front of them don't participate at all. In all likelyhood, the 30th team would probably only be able to move 5-10 spots up if that. I understand your concern, and I have the same concerns, but this system has safteys built in, and I htink it will work. I want to go with this and evaluate it after the season to see how it works. There is no reason for any GMs to leave, because htis is a work in progress. If it doesn't work, then we can fix it after the season.Originally Posted by SteroidFREEbaseball
why not do this commish,
these points we are getting cant we use these points and create a player? for a 4 star player you need to have 200 points. 5 star would be like 400 points.
the idea of moving up in the draft is really not to fair. the worst teams should be able to move up or down via post and points. the best 5 teams should stay where there at.
Just my thoughts.. The player creation thing would be great to see. The point total for a player would make this much more interesting. what do you think?

mn.... I think we were discussing this before... the key is that there should be equal opportunity to receive benefit or penalty for all... not leaving a certain group without a chance... in this case there is still no guarantee of movement... for all anyone has to do is also participate
and steroid... same type of thing... with sectionalizing, you make it so that he ones at the top of each section then get penalized, without opportunity to have advantage

Yeah....as long as my internet connection doesn't give out...we're very close.
I am making an addition to the League Participation section.
If you make a logo for your team, you can earn up to 5 points depending on how good it is. The max is 1 logo per season.
