Well the ESPN guys think that Sampson was a great fit for IU. They said that he will keep Indiana kids in Indiana and restore the program. Got this from the Halftime report of Michigan and Old Diminon.

Perhaps they see his 279-109 coaching record, a .720 winning percentage, and his 9 straight seasons of 20 wins. But, that would just be a guess. I personally think it's because he used to be in a Right Guard commercial and pulled it off admirably.
Well does anybody think that he will bring his very nice recruiting class to Indiana?
According to reports, Alford wanted no part of the Hoosiers. Sampson was a poor hire. I would have pounded UK for permission to talk to Tubby Smith, because I think he's tired of hearing UK fans destroy him about not winning championships.

I'm skeptical, but hey, if he does. I'll give him credit on a good job done. But I just don't see it happening.Originally Posted by griffeyfan3

Heh. This guy is horrible for Indiana. Indiana's program will become more of a mess with this guy at helm.
