USA Hockey Team
Now to start off, I'm not the biggest hockey fan. But I did expect for the USA Hockey team to be one of the best in the olympics, atleast that's how I heard it.
But their record is 1-2-1. Not very impressive.
Anybody have any thoughts as to why they're doing bad? Any general thoughts on the team?

the US hockey team was weak, the weakest out of the 7 main hockey powers in the world this year, goaltending is weak (big mistake not taking Ryan Miller), having a 43 year old Chelios and Derian Hatcher there just kill the defense.
the team is a mix of young and old (took too many older players) is good I think they messed up on some selections, the forwards some are too big and too slow for the extra ice (Guerin, Thachuk, Parrish, Knuble, Cole) and some of these players are declining with age especially Guerin.

US has never really been the strongest but good in hockey but the thing that surprised me was the Canada team...but hey I am for team Sweden all the way I woke up at 5:00 A.M. to watch their first game

Any specific reason? I know I like to cheer for Germany in soccer when that world cup (?) thing is on. Just an exciting team to watch, IMO.

Halladay summed it up on why the U.S. team did badly. They couldn't beat Latvia, whose goaltender was Arturs Irbe, who isn't playing in the NHL anymore.
