Is it just me, or do the Patriots look average this season? I realize they lost both coordinators and a multitude of players (most notibly Tedy Bruschi), but they look very beatable.

of course they are beatable. when you lose that much talent, you're going to be hurt. but they will still be in the playoffs.

The chargers are a team in which you absolutely need a Bruschi and a Harrison. Gates and Tomlinson killed them, just as most people predicted since they lack the certain playmakers on defense.

It's one thing to lose a couple linebackers (albeit two very good to great ones) and the two coordinators, you have an offseason to prep for that. However, starting 2 rookies (with a total of about 4 games of experience going into Sunday) on Brady's blindside and a 2nd-year (no experience) rookie in the defensive backfield, and having to deal with a deadly accurate QB with a Top 2 TE and the best RB in football, they shouldn't won that game.
If they still had Harrison and Light, I still don't think they would've won but they would have looked respectable.
