2016 Olympics Discussion

Well, now that the Olympics are only three days away from ending, why not discuss them? How much have you all been watching? What is your favorite event? I thought I would be more interested in them this year but for some reason, I haven't been as interested as I have in the past. I am starting to wonder if I would prefer to watch the winter games.

With that being said, I have watched a fair amount. It has been fun watching Biles, Phelps, Bolt, etc.

I like all the sports with women competing... except for long-distance running.

I am amazed at the gymnastics, diving and hurdles racing abilities of those women. I can't imagine being able to do that stuff.

I like team volleyball, soccer, field hockey, water polo and swimming too. My sister 'fenced' in college. Her daughter just finished a fine HS water polo career too.

I only watch the men for gold medal matches/attempts for the most part.

Yeah I mainly watch the gold medal matches also. I have a hard time watching events if it's not for a medal. Tough loss for the USA Women's Volleyball team today. Serbia played amazing though.

Poor Tyson Gay. It's like the old Got Milk? commercial where the Trix Rabbit finally got possession on the box of cereal, only to learn he has no milk.

If Neymar and Brazil lose the gold to Germany's B Team, I guess Rio burns to the ground tonight?
