Sheffield was wrong to question the leadership of Jeter and ARod. Anytime a player questions another's head in the game is uncalled for. You just don't call out a teammate publicly. He should've told Jeter and ARod to their faces. But Jeter and ARod shouldn't be surprised that Sheffield would make comments about teammates publicly. Sheffield did the same thing with his LA teammates and used Kevin Brown's and Carlos Perez's outrageous contracts in order to get management to give him a raise. What Sheff did was incorrect, but no one should be surprised. Is it surprise that Sheff got booed in Milwaukee whenever he returned there? Nice that he had something good to say about the Dodgers, too.

I have to give this to Marino. Young was a good QB too, but Marino broke 23 NFL records and tied several others too. He had 420 career TD passes, and Young had just over 1/2 of that. Marino also was the model citizen and a good guy in general.

Steve Young has to be in my mind the best all-around QB of the 2 guys right now. I wonder what he would have done if Joe Montana wasnt holding him back for 4 years. Young won a superbowl, Marino didnt. Marino wanted to do everything on offense. He publicly voiced his displeasure when Jimmy Johnson wanted a running game. The Offense had to go thru him. Young used his talents to make people better. Marino, while he was a the best pure passer ever. He made a lot of mistakes. In the Superbowl years that the Niners won, all but 1 year Marino had more than 15 picks in those seasons. I choose Young, he was the more intelligent QB, more mobile QB by far, and the better playmaker of the 2.

Who won the MVP last year? It was Peyton Manning by far. The MVP signifies the most valuable player and logically, that means the best one. Dan Marino was Manning when Manning was tossing the ball to skinny white kids in Pop Warner. He is #1 all-time in completions. #1 in Passing Yards. #1 in Passing TDs. His best running back in that legendary 1984 season was Woody Bennett with 600 yards. Getting 5,000 yards with no running threat is absolutely amazing. Young isn't even Top 15 in passing yards, TDs, or completions. Young had 5 20 TD seasons, Marino had 13.
Dan Marino was by FAR the better quarterback, it's a shame he had to deal with the Buffalo AFC juggarnaut of the early 90's and his defense giving up 38 points in his only Super Bowl shot. Marino never had Jerry Rice.

Buy now, sell later. First topic: Tom Brady, who's been having "sleepless nights" over the offense's performances in practice. Buy 2005 being a down year for Brady. Around the Horn to Mofo.

Sell on Brady having a down year. Brady had 3600+ passing yards with his primary receivers being David Patten and David Givens. Who else had that for their top two options? He still has Corey Dillon in his backfield. He has Super Bowl Deion Branch healthy for a full year. Red zone target Daniel Graham is still improving as a tight end and might have a breakout season. Brady is smart quarterback who doesn't make much mistakes. His smarts on the field is a big reason for his 2:1 TD/Int ratio last season.
