I'm Selling too when it comes to them dominating. They weren't exactly the Patriots before the strike, and we all know how financial problems can hurt teams. (See: MLB). The team will be losing three formidable players and in hockey, a bunch of different teams seem to find a way every year, so it can be difficult for one team to dominate.

I'm gonna be honest... who cares? The strike killed most everyone in America's interest in hockey... as if the worst marketing group in the world, the NHL, didn't do that enough, and the only way to get it back is for Sidney Crosby to be as dominant as advertised.

Ironically enough, I've actually heard of all 5 players you mentioned. But hockey is the strangest game in the league when it comes to progression of a player. He can be an all star his first 3 seasons in the league, and then just completely fall apart. As long as the Devils have Pat Elias and Marty Brodeur, they'll be alright, in my limited knowledge of the sport.

    Tally time:

    Ghetto with 20
    Cincy with 22
    Porter with 22
    Hammer with 24

Ghetto..you're the lone man out! Out of Bounds is next!

Once again, we are forced to talk about Kenny Rogers v. Cameraman. With his recent run-in at a JAIL where he was being arraigned on assault charges stemming from the previous run-in, Rogers said `You're getting really close; you know that? Do you hear me?'' Guys...with all of these recent happenings, what is your opinion on Kenny? Around the Horn to Porter.

Kenny is an angry old man lately. Is the pressure of Arlington getting to him. I dont know whats up but hes sure got a vandetta vs the men that carry cameras. Kenny will probably get suspended another 20 games or more. Texas needs to get a starter or TWO at the deadline. He needs to go to Anger Mangagement.

My opinion is that he is a great pitcher, but has some very serious issues. The guy wouldn't know respect, class and dignity if they hit him in the face. He obviously doesn't have a clue, as no one with any brains or sense would repeat the same mistake so quickly. He obviously didn't mean a word of his apology and that's pretty disgusting. Most legit. individuals learn from their mistakes, but he is ALREADY at it again. He needs to understand that the guys with cameras are doing his job, and I think he just might need to think of allowing a family member to call up the men with the white suits, because I think he needs their help.

It's hot in Texas, leave the guy be.

In all honesty, not only should that 20 game suspension stand, it should be increased to 30 or 40 games, simply based on stupidity. Jail is out of the question, I don't think it fits the crime, but the man is obviously a little out there. And he's not even that great of a pitcher. I didn't care for him as a pitcher when he was with the Yankees, now I don't care for him as a human. None of his actions were justified. If he doesn't like what they're saying in the papers... which I can understand, stating he was faking an injury to duck Anaheim, don't talk to them, don't give them first hand stories. Attacking them was overkill. Eddie Murray didn't talk to a reporter for his entire 130 year career.

    ++++ Nicely done, hammer.

And here is how they stand:

    Cincy with 26
    Porter with 26
    Hammer with 28

Unfortunately, Porter's gettin the boot after a coin flip.

Well, it's that time of the day again...Showdown time! Two men enter, one man crawls away in shame.

Starting showdown off...the only baseball team in Chi-town that matters. The Cubs are currently 4.5 games behind Atlanta in the NL Wildcard and have recently gotten Prior and Wood back. That begs the question: will the Cubbies make the playoffs? Around the Horn to Hammer.

Yea, Cubbies make the playoffs. The Nationals are on the down road, and theres plenty of relievers out there for the Cubs to sure up the weakest spot on the team. They have two of the best hitters in the National League, and they have the best 1-2-3 top half of the rotation in the NL, with all respect to the Marlins and Cards. They don't go far in the playoffs though.

I think you mean "shore up" but I'll take it.
