Buy, and i totally agree here with porter. Schilling's ankle is not anywhere near close being 100%. He obviously cannot go through his windup 50-60 times a game, and have the velocity that he had. If I were the other team also, i would try and get as many bunts as possible on Curt too, as his ability to get off the mound will be less likely.

Boston needs an ace, obviously. Matt Clement, although having a decent season, is not this ace. He has a 9.53 ERA in june, and oposing batters are batting .301. ERIC MILTON is doing much better than Clement in June...and that....that just freaks me out.

I'll buy it. The Red Sox aren't worried about his endurance. They are worried about how much velocity he can generate from his ankle that's falling apart. It's much easier to go out there and throw 94-95 for 15 pitches, than it is for 115 pitches. Plus, he's no spring chicken out there. He'll be able to lengthen his career as a Closer. A weak Red Sox bullpen... and I can say that because they had the 2nd worst ERA in the AL... instantly becomes strong with Timlin pitching the 7th, a rejuvenated Foulke in the 8th, and Schilling in the 9th.

    Round 2

Rich Harden had another impressive outing today, going 8 2/3 innings, allowing 1 ER and striking out eight. He is now 5-1 with a 1.34 ERA in six starts since ending his first career stint on the disabled list. That brings the question: buy or sell Harden as the best of the Big Four. What do you say, Porter?

You buy this 7 times a week. How can you bet against a guy that has a 2.11 ERA, a dominant .97 WHIP and a opp BA of .186. Hes only allowed 56 hits in 85 IP this season alone. You compare the last 3 years of Zito and 1st 3 of Harden there isnt a contest.

Buy. This is exactly what the A's need, Harden to come around and turn this staff around. He not only has a 2.11 ERA, 56 HA in 85 IP (which is outstanding), he also has a 7.80 K/9 while zito only has a 6.23 K/9. And I will lob for a 5.91 H/9 (harden) to a 7.06 H/9. Plus, he's only 23 with PLENTY of room to improve!! buy buy buy.

Buy. Harden is just incredible. Zito gets by more with location than stuff, and his numbers just aren't as good as Harden's are. His numbers are Clemens-esque. And one key stat that tells it all: he has given up more than 6 H in a start just ONE time this year, covering 13 starts.

That's tough to call, but I'll buy it. He has the elite fastball... I'm talking 96-97 elite... that Hudson, Mulder and Zito didn't have, and he has some equally as nasty off speed pitches. And although Hudson and Harden had their seasons cut short, just look at this years numbers. As mentioned earlier, Rich Harden has a blistering 0.97 WHIP. Zito has a 1.15 or so, and both Mulder and Hudson are over 1.35... and both of them are in a league, where they get a free out in the pitcher, and usually another free out in the 8th hitter.

    Nice answers from all

We turn to unfamiliar grounds now..a certain place they call the National Hockey League, where the New Jersey Devils are in salary cap trouble. The Devils will try to create cap room to resign Scott Niedermayer and Brian Rafalski, and will likely choose to let Jeff Friesen, Jan Hrdina and Viktor Kozlov play elsewhere in 2005-06. When hockey does resume, buy or sell the Devils being dominant again. What say you, Porter?

Sell, That is a lot of talent they are getting rid of to get Niedermayer. With the way the Wild are building their team. I doubt they wont be as dominant for a while now. You also cant count out the Lightning, Flames, Red Wings or the Sharks with a new upbeat coach.

Don't follow hockey, but i'll give this a whirl.

    Sell.
The Devils are losing some good talent, but they also have the potential to gain some also as there will be over 400 free agents this season, most capable of redeeming their losses. There will a lot more teams out there with better talent then the devils.
