Looking good so far. I like the 2nd picutre (in the first post) the best.
Buildings look phenomenal but I'm still worried about it. China is not a cool place. Especially if things with North Korea go bad.

Awefull, I hear you China is not a cool place. Im surprised they won the election in 2000(I believe Im not quite sure)The other canidate cities were: Istanbul (TUR), Osaka (JPN), Paris (FRA), Toronto (CAN).
I think China is going to be an excellent host.
Obviously, people will doubt them because 1.) they aren't majority Christian 2.) they aren't majority white and 3.) they aren't democratic.
1 and 2 don't bother me but 3 does a bit. Communism doesn't make sense to me. That said what really concerns me is some of the things they have done in the past that make me uneasy. North Korea does scare me a ton and the links they have had with China worry me.

Why is China not a good choice?
China has changed a lot. I am sure the politcs there are better now. Too bad I am studying abroad there in 2007.
LOVE THEE NOTRE DAME!
Good for China. Show these Capitalists how to hold the Olympics right.

China is not exactly a 3rd world country. There's no evil dictator runnin things in China, and they have a BOOMING economy. I got no beef with China.
I agree.

Things look great. As for being worried, I'm not really that worried about China. They'll be a good host. I'm sure the olympic panel wouldn't of chosen them if they though there was going to be problems.
Take off that baseball stadium. Baseketball is coming to town as an Olympic sport now.

Well I don't believe that is in effect until 2012. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.Originally Posted by Generalissimo

Naw your right awefull. IOC voted to get rid of baseball and softball starting 012.
Yeah, I was thinking London. I stand corrected.
