Boston University: 2009 Men's Nat'l Hockey Champs

Did anybody watch the game saturday night? I was about write off BU (as I'm sure a lot of other people were) when Miami (OH) was up 3-1 with just about a minute left. Then BU comes back and scores 2 goals in 42 seconds IN THE FINAL MINUTE to force OT.

Holy shenanigans you say.

About 10 minutes in to the extra frame BU scores the game winner, becoming the 2009 NCAA Men's Hockey Champs.

Props to BU, they were ranked #1 in the pairwise rankings entering the playoffs, and totally dominated until they got into the championship game.


This was an extremely tough loss for Miami (OH). They were ranked #4 in the nation, and looked pretty good against Bemidji St. They were only 1 minute away from winning their first ever national championship in any sport.
