Look Steve, you a good guy, but I get enough of you on TV, I don't need you commentating in MLB 2K9. Please stay out of my game next year, I'd really appreciate it.


On another note, MLB2K9 is really realistic, I did a Sox vs Yankees game and in the 11th inning after the Yankees took a 1 run lead, Mariano came on and gave up a 2 Run walkoff to David Ortiz... definitely realistic for my taste

If I was rich enough to own the PS3 in addition to the Xbox, I'd buy the Show in 2seconds flat.

I like MLB2k series I guess, but it hasn't made advancements it could in vital areas (i.e. franchise mode) and the gameplay always seems like a recycled version of the game before. On talk alone, MLB: The Show sounds like the best game I've never played.
As a diehard baseball fan, I'd love to be able to have a realistic franchise along with great gameplay, and evidently the Show is as close as you can get to that now.

For what it's worth, the new MLB2k game is much improved from last years in a lot of ways. The announcing is better (Phillips or not, it beats Joe Morgan) and seems a lot more on-tap than before, and the visuals are much better as a whole. But gameplay and franchise mode just seems to be recycled from every other game...

Once the patch comes out I'll make my final decision. They're supposed to fix the CPU awareness with it, probably some other things too. Right now there is only a set number of players to be editted and/or created allowed, and once you hit that number, you can't edit any more. I'd like to see them fix that as well, so minor leagues can be editted... and the awareness.. and I could be content with the game.

But yeah, if you have a PS3, buy the Show. I don't even know what it's like. But buy it anyway.

I had the show like 08....and the career mode was fun....but I was NOT a fan of the graphics. I've always been a 2K guy, and I'm not sure the Show is good enough to switch me yet.
