Coach Tony Bennett bails out on Washington State. Lose-lose deal for both sides. Washington State goes back to being irrelevant, and Virginia is stinking it up in the ACC.

Not when its a bottom tier ACC school. Its like Calipari leaving Memphis to go to UK. Why leave a good thing?
I can understand the coaches leaving small conference schools, where an NCAA tournament berth only comes with a conference tourney win, which is an absurd rule. But the Pac-10 has plenty of at-large bids every year, and Bennett had a good thing going at Washington State.
Seems like a horizontal move. It's been awhile since Virginia was anything more than a middle of the pack ACC team. WSU was pretty good for a 2-3 year stretch. Both major conferences..

Ted: Wait, I can get this. Mothers I'd like to sleep with and never call again.
Barney: Circle gets the square!

How come all the BE fans went silent after they were eliminated? Great year by the BE BUT they had 3 #1 seeds and "only" got 2 to the FF and didn't get a single team to the title game. And people were comparing this year's BE to 1985
Yeah only half the Final Four were BE teams. They must really suck UNC had a great win and leave it at that. Only funny thing was you trying to say the ACC was better.
The ACC had a bad Tourney but has ANOTHER Champ and another year goes by w/o a BE team even making the title game.
Some misguided folks were acting like this was an all-time great year for a conference. Based on seeding the BE underperformed in the Tourney getting 2 #1s instead of 3. The BE had a great year, had a great tourney and clearly had a better Tourney than the ACC(though not a better reg season as the ACC was better in non-conf play and also head to head against the BE). We can agree on that but my question was what happened to the BE fans after the last 2 got eliminated? Why did everyone disaappear?

TSSL: Seattle Mariners 2006-2029, Pittsburgh Pirates 2030-present (209-277, 5 division titles w/SEA, 1 championship w/SEA)
Outside of UNC, Who did anything for the ACC?
Wake Forest? Lost to Cleveland St in Round 1
Boston College? Lost to USC in round 1
Congrats Maryland, you guys beat Cal who stumbled worse than Arizona into the tourney. Then lost in round 2
Florida State? How the **** do you lose to Wisconsin
Duke? Didn't a BE team blow them out the building in Nova, I think so. One of two teams that survived the 1st weekend.
Clemson? Lost to Michigan in round 1
So really what did the ACC do? UNC was the consensus favorite to win it all. They had the most talented team. But the ACC as a whole waffled and caved in.

If I'm a UNC fan, I should be glad that the other ACC teams blew in the tourney. Arguing about conference superiority is such bull crap when you include hated rivals on your side.
