Don't let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.
Utah played a better schedule that Florida and they don't get a chance. Florida didn't dominate Oklahoma at all... maybe Utah isn't the best team but they should be ranked #1

WTF????? That's like something..........a BCS computer would say. I'm pretty sure I want the best team ranked number 1
However, I do think they should be higher than 6, that's ridiculous. Florida in my mind is number 1, so they got that right. I'm voting that they got it right on this poll cuz in they past they have had problems with even getting #1 right, so getting that in my mind is a huge step. The rest of the jumble is always up for grabs.
Utah Wins (13-0)
vs. Oregon State
vs TCU
vs BYU
@ Air Force
N-Alabama
Florida Wins
N-Alabama
N-Oklahoma
I guess @ FSU???
LOSS AT HOME to Ole Miss
If you look at it Utah beat more quality teams. The BCS before the "championship" game was not choosing the 2 best teams, they were choosing the 2 best resumes, and Utah deserved to be there cause they have a better resume than Florida. They didn't lose and beat more ranked teams... that to me indicates a team that is worthy to be #1

And Boise St undefeated in 06 was nothing also.
Utah played a better schedule than Florida, also Utah is undefeated.

Schedule does matter when everything else is even. But when it comes down to these two teams, IMO, it doesn't matter, because Florida is just so much better. This is all my opinion, obviously they didn't play, but still, I feel like Florida, USC, and Texas would all crush Utah.
Henks- Utah is in MWC not WAC, but I get what your trying to say.
Everyone thought Alabama would crush Utah too, but they were wrong. Utah doesn't get enough credit. I think Florida deserves the #1 spot, but it should be by a very close decision, it shouldn't be 90%-10%, it should be much closer to a 50/50 vote on these two teams.
By the way, we're calling our title the "national" championship because it actually includes the whole nation*—all 119 Division I schools—unlike the BCS, which includes 66. Yeah, the BCS somehow eliminated the middleman—the NCAA. The conferences these schools play in take their dump trucks full of cash straight from the TV networks and fairness can go suck a lemon.Think about it. Florida had to beat Alabama to get into the National Championship. Utah just beat the same Alabama team, and they get no credit for it. I think that Utah is WAY more deserving than they get credit for.Sure, BCS blowhards will hand you schlock about how the college football season is like a playoff, how it's an elimination tournament every week. Really? Well, how come Florida and Oklahoma weren't eliminated with their losses? Utah ran the table, beat everybody set in front of them, including Ala-damn-bama in no less than the Sugar Bowl, and gets the bagel.
Also, here's Rick Reilly's take:
USC? Great year. Wonderful. Let's all go to SkyBar and celebrate. But it lost to Oregon State, a team Utah beat.
Texas? You think beating Ohio State by a nubby three points gets you the title? The Big Ten was 1-6 in bowl games! That's like pinning David Spade!
Florida and Oklahoma? They lost. Utah never did.
I said it before, and I will say it again,
BCS- Big College Screwup!
