I highly doubt the average American / Washington Redskins football watcher would make the conscious decision to say "Man, I'm really up in the air about this election. If the Skins win, I'm gonna vote for the party that won the last presidential election. If they lose, I'll change it up."

For it to be random it would have to be 1/ (2^17), and that percentage is very very small, plus the fact its the redskins, that play in Washington D.C. makes this even more believable
