Their win over the Jazz was very solid even without Deron Williams.

I don't like the Knicks, but if they can help keep the loser Raprots in third place in the division, all the better.

I just like that Isiah made enough bad moves with the Knicks that we can now use them collectively as a guide to rate human error from 1 to 10:

1. The Zach Randolph trade*
2. The Nazr Mohammed trade**
3. The Steph Marbury trade
4. The Tim Thomas trade
5. Renaldo Balkman over Rajon Rondo
6. The Jerome James signing
7. The Jared Jeffries signing
8. The Eddy Curry trade
9. The Steve Francis trade
10. The Jalen Rose trade

I wouldn't lump the Randolph deal with the rest of those, they gave up all of Steve Francis and Channing Frye.

I must say that getting Marbury's 20 ppg from the Suns for next to nothing was a solid trade by Isiah. But I have to put the Jerome James signing near the top. Easily the worst signing in all of sports next to Andruw Jones.

*Note: The Randolph trade itself wasn't dumb, but tying up cap space that you need for LeBron in 2010??? Dumb-de-dumb dumb.

**Not a bad trade in itself since they landed two late picks (one was David Lee), but Malik Rose's contract killed any chance of cap space before 2009 and led to the Francis, Rose and Curry moves.

Balkman tried dribbling it once in tonight's game, when he did, the entire Boston team flocked to him. Overall, not a good sight.

They gave up nothing, but they relieved the suns of a major headache. Advil trade.

Balkman plays hard and he's a scrappy defender, but offensively he's a tremendously limited player. Not upset the Knicks traded him.

The Marbury trade turned Phoenix around, it gave them the necessary cap space to sign Nash...the amount of franchises Isiah Thomas turned around with the Knicks is extraordinary, and it doesn't include his own.
