To an extent, I agree. I mean, I try to be as level headed as possible, but admittedly, at times, I am biased.
LJ: Coles is TOP 5 BABY TOP FIVE
Marshall: MILSWANCAs?
Ted: Wait, I can get this. Mothers I'd like to sleep with and never call again.
Barney: Circle gets the square!

lol, my top fantasy draft pick is obviously Bubba Franks.
Well being a homer I went with the top CFL talent out there.....Jeff Garcia
I went with Marc Bulger, before he was sacked by all four defensive linemen at once.

LJ, please. Coles maybe. But Cotchery can't be put on the same level as Driver and Jennings. In this situation I unfortunately have to agree that you're being a homer. Usually you are very unbiased, especially when talking baseball, don't get me wrong. But Cotchery isn't really at the level of big play guys like Jennings and all-around great receivers like Driver.
Look at his numbers. Cotchery caught 82 passes for 1,130 yards last year. Pennington only through 10 TD....Coles caught 6 of them, Cotchery caught 2. Considering the frail arm of his quarterback, he did well.
Cotchery- 82 Rec, 1,130 yards, 2 TD
Coles-55, 646, 6 TD
Driver- 82 Rec, 1,048, 2 TD
Jennings-53 Rec, 920, 12 TD
If you take out TD's, which are a stat weighted towards good teams(and the Packers record was 11 games better than the Jets), I'd say that you're underrating Jerricho Cotchery.
Jenning's also only been in the league 2 seasons.
Jennings' only 2 seasons compare with Cotchery's 2 real seasons. Jennings has had less total yards, but that's very dependant on how often the QB throws to him, because Favre had plenty of options, whereas Pennington didn't. The telling stat is average, and Jennings has Cotchery destroyed in both years.
2006: 11.7 Cotchery, 14.6 Jennings
2007: 13.8 Cotchery, 17.8 Jennings
And your "good teams get more TD's" theory is actually totally proving my point. The argument I'm making is that the Packers had a) better receivers and b) better tools for Brett Favre. Which translates directly to a better team. Therefore you just made my argument for me.
Cotchery/Coles is a better tandem than people give them credit for, but
a) Driver and Jennings are better
b) the Packers WR corps is so much deeper
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.
Ah, give me something clever to say here.
ok, i said SOMETIMES for paige, usually he just makes a fool of himself. And if you saw Mariotti in real life and hear him talk about his career path and how he got to where he is and what it takes to make it in the media business, and hear him talk about the show, you would understand. He's an extremely smart guy who knows what he's talking about and is very passionate about what he does, and does his research.
He carries himself so arrogantly though.
