On the way up: The Superdome. The Georgia Dome. Lambeau Field.

On the way down: 1915 Moonlight Road. Surry County courthouse. Northern Neck Regional Jail.

A player who seemed to defy physics on the field with his burst has now plummeted faster than the 9.8-meters-per-second-squared acceleration of gravity.

Once feared as an indefensible double threat, Vick will now be remembered for two very different timelines. The first covered seven years and included some of the most memorable football moments of the decade. The second covered seven months and featured details so grisly and disturbing it made a public almost inured to criminality on the part of athletes.

Unlikely! A-Rod's not going to be playing until he's 46 or 47 which is what it would take, and Bonds is a free agent and it's likely that no team will touch him. The chances that A-Rod hits 1,000 HR are slimmer than the chances of love_that_reefer giving up marijuana for the rest of his life, i.e. ZERO.

he will spend 20 months in prison including the month he spent in jail the past few weeks.

Of course, thats all pending his behavior.

actually yes he will. This was a federal crime. By federal law, he is REQUIRED to serve 85% of his 23 month sentence. So at most, he could get 3 months off for good behavior. He's not getting out until July 2009 at the earliest.
