its irelevent to say his style would not suit the international game, when he has never played international ball.

His strengths do not translate to FIBA, so it isn't irrevelant. Big Ben would be a waste of a roster spot.
Plus, Big Ben is crap. His scam in the NBA is ridiculous, he shouldn't be worth even 3 million a season.

Stoudamire, Bosh, James, Arenas, Wade.... That would be the starting 5 if I was the coach.

Im not the Genius that traded for Brandon McCarthy. And my name is certainly not John Gibbons...
he's worth every single penny he has earned, he only won the defensive player of the year award 4 out of the last 5 years, and was the key part of the pistons run from 03-06Originally Posted by Raphictor

He shouldn't have. Bruce Bowen should have won it. At least twice.Originally Posted by GiantsFan83
And sure he's good at defense, but that's only a piece of the game, if you play both D and O should you get paid twice what he gets?

i agree with you on that, thats why i argued that steve nash didn't deserve the MVP, because simply he cant play DOriginally Posted by Raphictor
I'm saying in FIBA, you need to be able to make a basket that's outside of 3 feet.Originally Posted by GiantsFan83

No, as we've seen the NBA clearly isn't the best. All you need to do is dunk and body people around. The USA doesn't have the finesse necessary to dominate the World Game, because its players are too used to the rough loose game, and not the long posession jump shot game, which is what typically wins the Olympics and the Championships.
Obviously "Team USA" on a basketball court means diddley shit nowdays.
They still have one more round of eliminations, don't they?
Especially when the leagues back-to-back MVP is Canadian and this years runner-up (my opinion) was from GermanyOriginally Posted by Lynch
