Also, Tiger is NOT to be out done, he won today also, even though it was not a major. So, he gets a win on the same weekend as Roger does too. Just thought I would add this point for the heck of it.

Holy crap. Federer just got his ass handed to him in straight sets by the Djoker. STRAIGHT SETS. His quest for a 13th major is put on hold until Wimbledon (since we know he's not winning in France).
Ouch. Reality check for Mr. Federer.
Watching Federer struggle at times against Monfils today made it obvious that he, yet again, has no chance to beat Nadal on Sunday. Nadal easily disposed of #3 Djokovic in straight sets and was only tested at the end of the third set. Dude still hasn't lost at the French Open, now 27-0 lifetime.
Federer will have another chance to win his 13th major (which would tie him with Tiger), but beating Nadal is going to be a damn near impossible task. I will enjoy watching him get spanked.
He may still catch Tiger, since he is recovering from surgery.

Tiger Woods is RIDICULOUS. Nevermind that he's playing on one good leg, but he goes out there and cuts into the lead on the back nine by eagling both par-5. On the 13th hole, he drained one very long putt for eagle and got the crowd fired up like only Tiger can do. Dude is seriously from another planet.
Only 18 holes away from his 14th major.
The leaderboard after 54 holes:
1. TIGER WOODS -3
2. Lee Westwood -2
3. Rocco Mediate -1
T4. Geoff Ogilvy +1
T4. D.J. Trahan +1
T6. Robert Allenby +2
T6. Miguel Angel Jimenez +2
T6. Robert Karlsson +2
T6. Hunter Mahan +2
T6. Camilo Villegas +2

He is sooooo good.
I really don't think Roger is going to catch Tiger. The lifespan of a Tennis player is no where near that of the playing career of a Golfer. Tiger also seems to always be there in every single Major on the PGA tour while Fed dominants 3 out of the 4 majors and will most likely never win the French unless Nadal is out a year from there. Also with the emergence of Djokovic he could give a lot of pressure to Fed in the other faster court Majors in tennis.
Tiger Woods is the best player in his sport that I have ever seen.
Federer will most likely go down as the best Tennis player in the history of the game after he hangs it up as well, but the thing is in Golf there really hasn't been much of a challenge other than an occasional stir-up by Phil Mickelson. Federer has to deal with Nadal on clay every season and also now the emergence of Djokovic.
I think that the competition in golf is there and very good. Tiger is just THAT MUCH BETTER.
