I'm horrible at predictions obviously, but Shaq has been beastly and is usually unstoppable in the Finals; and since when does Shaq lose to a Dallas team when it counts? I say Shaq averages 28/15 in this series and completely tears apart Dallas's frontline. I also think Wade will score no matter what, but will he just score or will he be a complete offensive player? He can surely drop 35, but unless he gets at least 15 free throws (fouls dallas' big men out by going to the basket, eventually forcing nowitzki to guard shaq), the Heat lose. Obviously Nowitzki also has a huge series and the Mavs speed the game up and the Heat have no answer for the pace of Dallas' game. Dallas has the edge on paper, Dirk is the biggest mismatch in the league at the moment, and Wade is going to have to work hard on defense in this series. I'm giving the Heat two games where they get carried on their backs by Shaq, but can't hang on in the other games. Mavs in 6.
Dirk is just unguardable right now. Miami got a nice little team, but time for them to go home.

Why do people love Shaq so much?
If his team loses, he didn't get enough touches. If his team wins, it's his dominating "presence". And he never gets any blame for the Laker fallout with Phil, Kobe. Ugh.
It's because Shaq's 3 NBA Finals MVP awards speak for themselves, plus the fact that Orlando Magic and the Lakers won squat after Shaq left those teams. It doesn't help that Penny Hardaway and Kobe are criticized as selfish players who can't deal with being No. 2 on the team.
The theory that his team loses because he didn't get enough touches was amplified by Kobe's ballhogging display against the Pistons, although I also saw how Shaq kept getting the ball stripped from him in numerous possessions.
