The NBA playoff system really needs to be changed. When 16 out of 30 teams are making the playoffs, there's bound to be a bad team or two in there. Such is the case in the Eastern Conference, as the last 4 teams are seperated by 2 games, and not one of them is above .500. There's no point to letting a sub .500 team in the playoffs as far as I'm concerned, because they haven't earned it. I say lower the number of playoff teams to 12, give the top 2 seeds in each conference a first round bye, and have a 3 game first round series. This may not bring in as much revenue, but it will make the playoffs more competitive, and give bad teams the chance at a higher pick they deserve with the NBA lottery.
