    He was a nazi because he was forced to. I was concerned about it when I heard of it as well, but so far the research I have found shows that he was against it as his family was.

    Cardinal Ratzinger was actually John Paul's choice for pope. And so you all know, there's no such thing as a young pope or a liberal pope. You won't find a cardinal that actually supports gay marriage or abortion. They also have to put in a lot of years to get that far anyway.

    he'll be fine as pope. He had to be the bad cop guy for JP II. that doesnt mean he is going to be as rigid as his advice to JP II was.
