ok, I don't know if you guys heard about this, but a local police officer here in Providence was killed this morning with his own weapon while interrogating a suspect in the police station...they're tight lipped about the details...anywho...

so I'm watching the news and the reporter says this about it:

"The officer was questioning the suspect about a different crime."

Oh really? You don't say...you mean he wasn't interviewing the suspect about his own murder? my hat's off to you NBC 10

Local News, it is the one place where the obvious can be stated 15 times in a half hour and the weather is always wrong.

Yep our local news is so lame. They go out of town to ask them how to pronounce their city's name. And that is the big story of the night. Huge difference between here and in California where I grew up.

Well here in the 'Nati, we devote 10 minutes to actual news, 18.5 minutes to weather, and 1.5 minutes to sports. Plus, all stations have the same doppler radars, just named different things... Precision Doppler 12, Ultimate Doppler, Power of 5 Doppler radar.

Local news is pretty stupid. When I was at my sister's house, I was watching the local news there.

One of there lead stories in the morning was some turkeys landing on cop cars. Ya. Quite stupid.

jsut last night, my local news devoted about 5 mins of info about a chicken pattie that "looks like" the pope. It's on ebay, and at the time of air, the amount was $102.

^they then followed that update with argueing if the chicken patty looke like the pope.

quality news right there.

yea, that's when i came up with the great idea to make some grilled cheese that "resembles" the disciples and sell the 12 off as a "collectors set."

if the pope recieves over 150+

times 12

= nice profit for nothing at all.
