    South Park and Scientology

Did anyone see last night's South Park episode? I thought it was an instant classic. Very funny and touched on an important current topic: Scientology.

The episode is called "Trapped in the Closet", and if you get the chance, you really should watch it.

So it talked about how much of a lunatic Tom Cruise is?

South Park isn't on the level of the best Simpsons seasons.

The best Simpsons episodes are witty and creative.

I don't think the South Park episodes live up to that standard.

And this was post number 5,000 for me.

He's stared in some good movies, but the guy is a headcase off the job.

A little bit. Stan was interested in Scientology (well sort of) and the groups leaders believed that he was the reincarnate of Scientology's founder. Tom Cruise of course went to see Stan with all the media hype surrounding him and asked if he enjoyed his films. He said he was alright but the guy from Napoleon Dynamite was better which hurt his feelings and made him run into the closet, the closet that he refused to come out of.

The description of what Scientology believes in was just too funny though, I loved that.

That episode sounds pretty good.(Anything that makes fun of Cruise is funny in my book) That's one I wouldn't have minded seeing. That's the problem with South Park for me though. It's too up and down in its consistency in terms of quality.

"Tom, come OUT of the closet! Just come out, none of us will be mad. Just come OUT."

The Simpson's was great in its prime. Unfortunately, its prime has been long gone IMHO. The last fews years I just haven't found many, if any, of the episodes funny at all. It's been on long enough and should go away now.

The episode where Homer bowled the perfect game and kept milking the 15 minutes of fame applies to The Simpson's now and is ironic to say the least. Lisa said it best when she basically said Homer had his 15 minutes and it is his time to graciously step aside. That's just my opinion...the reruns are classics; the new ones are "meh" to say the least.

Exactly, Im laugh at Family Guy and South Park, but not at the Simpsons anymore. Simpsons in it's prime would be tough to bet out some Family Guy episodes.

some of the new Family Guy episodes have been hit or miss, but at this point I like Family Guy a lot more than The Simpson's. Even in the not-so-good Family Guy episodes, there's still something that will make me laugh. The Simpson's not at all. And the Treehouse o' Horror bullshit after Halloween is getting really tired...who cares about Halloween almost a week after? played out.

I wish that Fox brought Family Guy back straight to DVD because they're making them edit stuff more than ever. I remember when Fox showed repeats before the new episodes they blurred out a cartoon butt and skipped a scene. That being said, the Family Guy movie to DVD was hilarious.
