Topher Grace as Venom? Talk about an oxymoron...he's gonna need a huge rubber suit
Thomas Haden Church as Sandman doesn't exactly work either, since Sandman's supposed to be massive and hulking and... Thomas Haden Church is... a skinny wimp with pasty skin.
No, read it again, she originally says Church is Venom, Grace is Sandman. But either way, they're both rather puny to be either. I would have guessed the Vulture and Allistair somethingrather

"Dunst then reversed her claim, admitting Church will play Sandman and Grace, Venom."
Church has been unofficially confirmed as Sandman for months now anyway.
Venom deserves his own movie
movies just get bad when they're 2 villains

Grace looks more like Carnage, without red hair. Church should play Venom, Grace should play Carnage.

i'm not totally up on my comics, but wasn't venom created when Jonah's son the astronaut put on the evil suit that spidey took off? I thought that was why they put the son in the last one, so they could introduce venom in the third.

5: Kearns
4: Phillips
3: Dunn, Felo, Freel, Milton
2: Claussen, EdE, Griffey, Valentin
1: Aurilia, Hatteberg, Lizard, Larue, Shackelford
It may not stop at two since the last movie set up a couple of other villains. Harry Osbourne finding his dad's stuff and J.Jonah Jameson's son going up in space.. they both become villains in the comics.Originally Posted by Halladay_is_God

Nope, Venom has nothing to do with Jonah's kid.Originally Posted by Wally Mo Pena
Here's some info on Venom:
Venom (Eddie Brock) is a comic book supervillain (sometimes referred to as an anti-hero) in the Marvel Comics universe, and an enemy of Spider-Man. Writer David Michelinie and artist Todd McFarlane are generally credited with the character's creation, based on a number of plot ideas and concepts from various other creators, though the degree to which McFarlane should be credited with co-creating the character has been a source of dispute in the comic book industry (see below). Venom's existence was first indicated in Web of Spider-Man #18 (September 1986), when he shoved Peter Parker in front of a subway train, though he did not appear on-panel. Another hint was given in Web of Spider-Man #24 (March 1987), when Peter Parker had climbed out of a high story window to change and go into action but found an arm coming through the window and grabbing him, despite his spider-sense not warning him. He then made a partial appearance on the final page of The Amazing Spider-Man #298, in which he was obscured by shadow, before making his first full appearance on the final page of #299 (May 1988). The character’s popularity soared during the 1990s.
Here's better info/bio on Eddie Brock who became Venom:
Jonah's kid became the wolf man.
For lack of a better moniker.

"Man-Wolf" originally, after finding some goofy ruby somewhere that turned him into the hairy beast. He later became Star-God
(both are/were stupid characters from what I remember).
or man wolf.
Either way, highly unoriginal scheme. At least Morbius wasn't ..Super Vampire, or something.
