I wish they hadn't pretended the first movie never happened and changed Mephistopheles to the generic "The Devil". They are one in the same, however, Mephistopheles is a consistent foe to Ghost Rider and the one who cursed Johnny Blaze.

as leo said, matchstick men was a genuinely solid movie. and i cant believe nobody has mentioned the national treasure movies!

i have to make sure that last line gets read with sarcasm... i dont wanna be depicted as any dumber than i already am.

I really didn't mind the National Treasure movies. As dumb as they were, I've wasted plenty of time on many-a-movie worse than them.

Cage is just one of those guys who will do any role for a quick buck(since Con Air, actually). He basicly plays the same character with a different haircut in his action movies, and has all the same "woe is me" facials in all his dramas.(I did like Matchstick Men, as well)

I liked the first National Treasure, at least enough to not want to gouge my eyes out, like the DaVinci Code. Extremely overrated movie.

I really liked Angels & Demons.

I have never read the books, so I went into both movies with an open mind.

The second one was bad, hilariously bad that it was watchable and enjoyable, but it was bad.

I've never seen either. The previews didn't really catch my interest enough.

Right it was just "Drive"...."the Driver" is a different movie.

I think it‘s only the male masses that don‘t like Cage, cause all the women (including me) love him! I do agree w/ Leo though “Wicker Man“ was crap, but still liked him. In fact I have liked him since the beginning with “Valley Girl“.

Someone mentioned “The Rock“, I just watched that last night, had never seen it. Wasn‘t at all what I envisioned the movie would be about. Lots of actors I like in it, but they killed off Michael Biehn WAAAAY too early!

Re: 2012 Version of Movies You've Seen Thread

My work Redbox visit this weekend included: Shark Night, The Double and In Time.

The Double was clearly the best, and I really dislike Richard Gere and Topher Grace, but it was a fun movie that didn't insult my intelligence too much. In Time was okay, I pretty much watched it for Matt Bomer's 10 minutes and Olivia Wilde's 5. Kinda disappointed we didn't get more of them, but whatever.

Shark Night was a decent genre pick, not great, but not a complete waste of time, either.
